ok wow., again what an absolutely fantastic story, a bit too short for what I felt was a more intense storyline then
the first one which was about Zara & Talon, ( I felt that the heavy topics in which seem to surround Deanna & Griz
story were not elaborated on and should have been to give the present threat in the story a little more of the
history that the threat is based on to show the seriousness of said threat) the duel pov made it so much more
easier to connect to both characters in the story and the surrounding characters as well, making the story and
characters much more realistic and much more intense., I think over all there story was just absolute perfect and
amazing, that will have your heart pounding from all the hot and sexy passion to all the incredible laughable and
crazy sarcasm that comes with there story, along with seeing some of the same old awesome cast of family and
friends from the first story as well as some new additions making for yet another extremely awesome and well
written story, 5 stars and a gang of wacky characters surrounding two stubborn and head strong characters that
fall in love and take you on a trip of drama, passion, suspense, mystery, chaos, murder, laughter and love a
journey and thee up most amazing adventure that I highly recommend as a must read,. looking forward to that
    next book in the series <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hell Mouth meets a mountain of a man named Griz

When Deanna's past threatens to destroy her present, Grady Daniels aka Griz, a member of the Hawks MC, moves into her home and eventually her heart. You'll get more of her bf Zara and her man Talon, the club president, as well as the delightfully hysterical Julian, Zara's brother's partner. A read that cannot be put down!

    Good 2nd book

106 pages long. Not crazy about 'first person' style books they somehow disrupt the story process for me. That beiing said, this was still a very good book, just wish it had been longer. Looking forward to Blues story in book 3--hope it is longer like book one was (500 pages in book 1). Very good series, loveable quirky fun characters!

    Great 2nd story!!

The chemistry between Griz and Deanna is great, Griz, aka Grady, is 2nd in command of the Hawks club.

Zara and Deanna's friendship is funny at best when they are at each other, but Julian, Zara's brother's partner, who has a WAY with words that just makes you smile and giggle.

This story is over 100 pages, very steamy, with some violence. The language is a bit over the top, but that sometimes is the way bikers are. The relationships between the bikers and the women are just great. Especially when these said bikers put up with one crazy gay Julian!! Not many would! :) How they always have each others backs too. When someone has a problem it becomes the clubs problem, they will do anything to protect their family.
    Great read!***

    Better than the first...

    3.5 Stars
Well I must admit this second book was written so much better than the first, so much better. There weren't as many weird cheesy name calling, at least not from every other character like in book one. In this book, those stupid names were left to the ridiculously gay guy Julian, but he did keep them at a minimum, thank goodness.

In this book, we see a much more subdued Deanna, she actually acts like an adult instead of a monkey on crack with bad language. I liked this Deanna so much better than the one we were originally introduced to. We also learned of her troubled past and what she is running away from, unfortunately the action in this book is very minimal. It mostly focuses on Griz and Deanna's relationship, we also get to see a bunch of old characters, a few new ones and some irritatingly annoying ones as well. Nothing much happened until close to the end and then it had nothing to do with Deanna but with Griz, Deanna's past came back to bite her on the ass but that situation was handled in seconds...very disappointing after all the buildup...

On the upside, Ms. Rose hints at new relationships, so hopefully more books, if they are written like this one, this series will be successful, just keep Julian's trap shut and please stop having Zara call every female 'wench', that's just wrong..., I'm curious about Pick, wonder what will happen with that...overall this was a short, fast paced, better written, love story. It will keep you engaged, especially since Griz and Deanna get to the sexing way quicker than Zara and Talon did...without interruptions!

BTW...I am highly offended that Griz considers himself old and he is only 40! I am in my mid thirties and don't consider myself even remotely old....

    Engaging, action packed
People and the club progress with more trials and action packed excitement.  Even thought this is the second in a series, it’s still a
self contained book.  Did not have the same amount of graphic bantering and interplay between Zara and Deanna as the first book
that some reviewer didn’t like and I thought was funny as all get out.  But it did not take away from the great writing or story line which
was well done and very well written.  Lots of action throughout the book to keep your interest up until the very end of the book.
I won a review copy of this book.

Wow the Hawks men are HOT!! I LOVED Talon in Holding Out but Griz was awesome! The pages sizzled in your hands again as you read about Griz and Deena! It seems like we waited forever for this book but it was so worth the wait! Lila Rose is an amazing story teller that sucks you in and brings all her characters to life like it's happening right in your living room and your there to see it all. Needless to say I read this book in one sitting and although I'm sure there is more than one family member unhappy about hot dog night all I can say is too bad! I can't wait for the next book and I don't even care what biker it will be because I know Lila will make me want him just as much as Talon and Griz! So get ready for a HOT ride and find a comfortable seat because you won't want to go anywhere once you start on a Hawk Man's journey!
