I loved the book! I started reading excerpts of this novel at the author’s blog, and felt the urge to buy it. I thoroughly enjoyed it - great blend of mystery and romance. I kept turning pages and wouldn’t put it down until the end. Having read this one, as well as the first one, I can’t wait for the third novel in this series. Highly recommended!

A beautifully descriptive story! What a wonderful and beautifully descriptive story! It might sound cliché to call a place a character, but it’s absolutely true in Ms Sefer’s fascinating novel. The descriptions of Mykonos are so well done; I’m ready to book a trip. I won’t rehash the plot, except to say the mystery kept me involved and the romance between Helena and Dimitris sizzled. This book gave me everything a great read should. I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

I loved DEADLY SECRETS, Book 2 in THE GREEK ISLES series.  It’s set on the Greek island of Mykonos, and the author describes the gorgeous scenery perfectly—I’ve been to several islands in the Aegean, and all are breathtaking. The rocky romance between Helena and Dimitris really drove the plot.  The author kept the story interesting by making Dimitris compelling but not always likeable.  Helena is a great heroine, torn between her attraction to Dimitris and her quest for the truth.   This is a great read for anyone who enjoys a well-told mystery with an equal amount of romance.  Looking forward to Book 3.

Who doesn't love a good romance that is blended with a mixture of emotions? Deadly Secrets by Angel Sefer does just that by mingling mystery, suspense, and excitement into this romance. The story takes place on Mykonos, my favorite of all the beautiful Greek Island. The main Characters Helena and Dimitris are believable. There is romance in the air but the mystery that looms over Helena and the disappearance of her father makes the plot turn intriguing. It gives a depth to the story and makes the reader believe that something suspicious lurks ahead. The story is captivating and the development of the romantic chemistry between the lead characters is wonderful. Truthfully, I love a romance. Deadly Secrets is exactly the kind of book I love and I am now a fan of Angel Sefer. Ms Sefer is a very talented and gifted author who has written an engaging story. I can’t wait to read her next book. I would recommend this to any person that loves romance, mystery and who would like to get an imagery of the surroundings to be found on one of the most beautiful islands in Greece.

Try to imagine your entire life being disrupted at the age of eight--Helena's father disappeared never to be heard from or seen again. Her Mom takes her back to England and is never the same. Her Mom makes Helena promise she will never go back to Greece but won't tell her why. After her Mom passes away Helena decides she wants to see the only family she has left--so she goes to Greece. Someone is following her and she almost gets run over--then as she leaves the boat there is a suspicious looking man staring at her. She is picked up by Dimitris who she doesn't remember but who she feels an immediate attraction. Meanwhile Helena is becoming more and more positive that her father's death was no accident--especially after finding her Grandmothers diary. Bur who would want her father dead? You are not going to guess this one too easily. Meanwhile it seems that Helena and Demitrius were promised to each other in marriage by their families--uh--this is the modern age isn't it--what happens will amaze you! This is the second book I read in this series--they truly are enjoyable reads and the descriptions of the Greek Isles--well--you will feel like you are really there!

Mystery, passion, and great picturing the fascinating background of greek islands. Wife riveted to the book, had to wait for her to finish to do anything together. She kept telling me of how much the romance and the painted scenery brought back flashbacks of our holidays in the island. Mrs Sefer, you might have get one more fan, and I'll have more time for golf :)

The cover kicks a$$ and so does the book itself. A great one that puts you not only in the story but also the beautiful Greek Isles. This one is worth every penny and costs a whole heap less than an airfare to boot. Recommended.

Ms Sefer writes in my favourite genre - romance with added suspense and mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and the Greek setting was an added bonus.

A well-written mystery piece that kept me captivated until the very end. Intrigue, clever plotting and an atmospheric setting collectively create good suspense. The characters feel real and the situation believable. Everything is resolved in a satisfying, exciting way. A good read.

“Deadly Secrets” by Angel Sefer is a spellbinding mystery romance novel in the most beautiful and captivating of settings: The Greek Island of Mykonos. Our recently heroine Helena leaves England to visit her aunt Sophie on the island where she meets the ominous and charismatic yet not always likeable Dimitris. Dark, moody and with a sense of foreboding this story unfolds with ominous “greek drama”. The mystery around her father’s disappearance many years ago, secrets revealed in a diary and the muddy motives by the people around her throw Helena in turmoil and confusion.  Against her will she finds herself attracted to the arrogant Dimitris, although her aunt assures her about the man and sees him quite differently. The writing is powerful and had a strong hypnotic spell on me. I was drawn into this great and intriguing story from the beginning. The chemistry and passionate, fatal attraction between Helena and Dimitris, the doubt and confusion were driving me insane. On top of that there are plenty of beautiful descriptions of the island and Greece. I am not always one for romance writing but Angel Sefer has great talent and knows how to tell a story. A must read for romance and mystery fans

In Deadly Secrets, Helena goes back to the Greek island of Mykonos to reconnect with her father’s relatives and try to find some answers about his mysterious disappearance thirteen years ago. However, the stunning beauty of the Aegean island is shadowed by a strong sense of foreboding, as she gradually sees that people around her hold deep and dark secrets that put her life to danger. The last straw is to find herself bound to an overbearing, impossible man. His words are full of scorn, but his searing kisses tell a different story. Confused and scared, Helena wants nothing more than to return to England and her uninspiring but safe life there. But she knows that if she does, she'll leave half of her heart behind. Having read and thoroughly enjoyed Spellbound in His Arms, Ms Sefer’s first installment in The Greek Isles series, I picked up the second book and I'm glad I did. As a romance reader I crave for a happy ending, but I want some grit in the language or characters, and that’s not Ms Sefer’s style who opts for a sweeter approach. But the feel I get from her books remind me of my favorite classic mystery writers, MM Kaye and Mary Higgins Clark, who also chose exotic locations for their novels. I get the same fuzzy nostalgic feel that stays with me even after the reading ends. The story here is very well-paced, not description-heavy and the unexpected twists made me finish the book in two sittings in a single day. If you enjoy sweet romances with a strong mystery vibe, Deadly Secrets will not disappoint you.

A romantic thriller! I love stories that keep me glued to the pages, and this was one of them! I just couldn’t put the book down. I’ve never been to Greece and this “virtual visit” to the island of Mykonos was exactly what I needed. I imagined been there, with Helena and Dimitris, trying to solve the mystery, while denying their feelings for each other. Don’t miss this one! It’s a winner!!!

Another spellbinding mystery on a beautiful island setting! This was another spellbinding mystery on a beautiful island setting – just as good as the first novel in the series, if not better. I enjoyed the vivid descriptions of the island with its fascinating customs and traditions, as well as the intriguing characters. Reading the book and having seeing pictures of the amazing island of Mykonos, I felt as if I were there. I’ve become a fan of this series and can’t wait for the third book.
