    Sad, but true

    This book is not for the weak hearted. These guys laid their lives on the line to serve their country and not all of them by choice. They had to watch their buddies die day in and day out and every time it was like they just lost a family member. Many of the men's last words to their friends were, "Tell my wife that I love her." They just wanted to get out of Vietnam and be able to watch their kids grow up. It gave me a new found respect for all the soldiers that served in Vietnam and all wars;

    Everything That We Had

    This book contained several stories from soldiers who fought and died. We were able to get these stories from letter that they had written and sent to family members. The stories included how the day was spent, who did what and who might of died that day and the fear that was shared by each other. It took place in Vietnam, and several other places around Japan. If you are into war stories I would recommend that you read this book. It will give you the true feeling of how our men felt back during the war.

    A Vietnam must!

    I found this book to be phenomenal! Not the kind of Vietnam book you would think. Great stories, from all different views. Really blows you away. Fantastic book....add it to your collection.

    Oral Histories Automatically Suspect

    The author is a legitimate Vietnam veteran. Unfortunately some of the 'veterans' in his work are notorius fakes. The sad reality is that those most likely to reveal 'war stories', veterans of any war are those that are least likely to be candid about their actual service. It is now possible to check the service records of any veteran you suspect to be an imposter by visiting www.stolenvalor.com and following the links for FOIA.
