Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Creative paper folding is the basis for many of the step-by-step projects in this guide. Book artist Golden (Creating Handmade Books) treats the book with a form of self-expression akin to collage. Unlike books made with classic techniques involving signatures, stitching frames, and presses, many of these books have interesting page structures with accordion pleats, pop-ups, pockets, and rather minimal paper or board bindings. A good selection for public library papercraft collections. Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

    A book I actually used

I have many craft books in my library. I flip through the pages, admiring the projects and the work that goes into them. But this book grabbed me and I just had to try out some of the projects. I show off the books I've made.

This book would have received a perfect score except for chapter 5 (Folds and Twists) Books with Multiple Paths. This section uses Origami to create the pages. Although it was fun, I got lost a couple of times and had to figure it out myself. But I did figure it out and the results were very cute.

All of the projects are practical and fun. Many of the projects can be completed within a hour or two. So get this book and have some fun. It is in my permanent library.
