I picked up this book the other day, because it looked very interesting. I have a knitting, needlepoint and quilting background, which means for me that I have read many step by step instructions. Starting in this book from the chapter "Tools and Techniques" to the very last chapter, the clarity of instructions and photos made every thing very clear. I really loved the tips in the Tools & Techniques chapter and the variety of different cake styles offered in the book too fit any occasion. It will be another great book in my cooking and baking in my book collection.

This is a beautifully designed and conceived book. Easy to follow instructions make it perfect for a do-it-yourself cake maker, parents with children who want a special cake, or anyone who wants to try a fun project. Very accessible. And it makes a great gift. I'm planning to give a few at Christmas!

This book is AWESOME and sooo creative!!! I picked it up at our local B & N store here in Knoxville.  It is very easy to read, has easy to follow directions and what is really great is that all the ingredients for the cakes can be bought at the store.  Just super!! Thanks so much & looking forward to making cakes here w/ my 7 yr old neice! Cindy
