Feel the Heat is the fifth book in the Phoenix Agency series by Desiree Holt. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. I have liked all of Ms. Holts books and had not read anything in this series yet so I wanted to give it a try.
Lauren Cahill is a psychic healer who does it for free for those who she can help. She refuses to take any money. She has a day job that supports her. She came across as honest and willing to help those she could at whatever personal cost to her.
Troy Arsenault seems like the perfect person for her. He believes in psych ability, which is a big hurdle for Lauren because it was an issue growing up. He also supports her even when he sees the personal cost it takes on her. He is a hot and sexy guy who seems to fall for lauren at first sight.
The chemistry between Lauren and Troy is blistering hot. The sex scenes were smoking hot. They are a good match. I loved that they did not fight there attraction to each other.
I loved this story. This story had me hooked right from the beginning and did not let go until the very end. While I have not read the rest of the books in this series, I will soon be fixing that. I was amazed by how realistic this story was portrayed. It was easy to tell the time and attention that was put into writing this story.

I was hooked on Desiree's Phoenix series from book one! I can't say anything on the negative side about any of these books cause I found nothing negative about them. These books are fantastic! Desiree is truly a very talented woman. I was really looking forward to this one. I have always been intrested in Troy. This book made me love him even more. And his relationship with Lauren is great. I loved her as well. She is perfect for him. I can't wait to read more on these awesome men and their awesome ladies!
