I really did enjoy this one. It is a combination of faith, romance, travel and humor that kept me reading from the first pages. It is a wonderful story of two people, Adam who is committed to what the Lord has called Him to do, and Evelina who because of tragic circumstances has turned her back on God in her life, and how God works through their lives to bring them together in a relationship that was meant to be. I definitely recommend this book and I certainly look forward to reading more by this author.

Marion Ueckermann has penned a delightful novella that transports the reader to Finland and its fascinating culture. When Adam and Eveliina meet, sparks fly, and the initial tension between the two quickly becomes something much more. As they struggle with their feelings, God intervenes in a way neither of them expects. The author skillfully weaves a strong message of forgiveness and renewal into this story, a lesson that lingers in the heart. Helsinki Sunrise earns four and a half stars.

Debut author Marion Ueckermann has penned a winner of a book! This novella is the perfect companion on a hot day or to warm you during the cold winter months. Main characters Eve and Adam (clever) will charm their way into your heart in this fast-paced, witty and often humorous book. The storyline is inventive, features an honorable hero and relatable heroine, and is well-executed with well-written secondary characters. I highly recommend this wonderful book and am anticipating the next Passport to Romance from this very talented author.

This is a really fun book. It packs a lot of romance and laughs for a novella length work and I absolutely love the sparks and the chemistry between Adam and Eveliina. While I typically shy from books in foreign settings, this one is great because I get just enough a taste of Finland to feel I really have been there without it overpowering the story. Really looking forward to more in this line and from this author.

Eveliina has retreated to her grandparents' island to get away from work and her boss. She's looking forward to the solitude and some time to do the things she wants, not the things she must. She doesn't know that her brother has offered the island retreat to a missionary friend as the perfect place for solitude, prayer and fasting. When Eveliina discovers she doesn't have the island to herself as expected, the complications start multiplying. This story will draw you into the scenery and the characters as well as the plot. For me, it was a one-sitting read. I couldn't put it down. I loved the look at Finland, a place I will probably never get to visit in any other way. But it feels like I've already been there. I can recommend Helsinki Sunrise without hesitation. And I can hardly wait to read Marion Ueckermann's next story.
