Overview

When faking it takes on a whole new meaning…

In the Line of Duty, Book 2

Tallulah Duncan is excited about her brother’s upcoming wedding in Louisiana, but what she’s not looking forward to is facing the man who will undoubtedly be waiting for her. Years ago she and an old boyfriend made a pact. The next time she comes home, if she’s still single, they’ll get engaged.

He’s a nice guy, but Tallulah doesn’t love him—or the idea of being an undertaker’s wife. And the smokin’ hot guy next to her on the plane is a loud-and-clear reminder that her biological clock is on the fritz.

Security specialist Garrett Andersen is pretty sure the gorgeous woman next to him on the plane is about to have a panic attack. And when he tries to distract her, she does the most enchanting, adorable thing he’s ever seen. She blushes.

Since they’re headed to the same wedding, he finds himself agreeing to step into the role of adoring fiancé. In real life, she’s his comrade’s kid sister, so it’s hands off all the way. Except behind closed doors, her all-out campaign of sweet seduction is burning that strategy to ashes…

Warning: This book contains some very hot, very steamy sex, with a smokin’ hot security specialist who knows just how to hit his mark—and make it explode. Did we mention it was hot?

They are not kidding when they say this one is hot, but it also has a good amount of heart to go with the steam. While Tallulah and Garrett definitely have no problem setting fire to the sheets, they also get under each other’s skin. Sweet, sassy and sexy as all get out, Trouble in Tallulah is a whole lot of fun.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review and I have to tell you, I was hooked from the minute I started reading it. I did not want to put it down. The way that the characters hit it off immediately held my interest the whole way through the book. This is a very well written, steamy story that will keep you longing for more. I was wanting this not to be a business deal the whole time. I loved how the story unfolded and ended!! Thanks for the great read! I will be reading more of your books for sure!!

    Great Book!!

His Trouble in Tallulah is a passionate and emotional romance by talented author Cathryn Fox. I find that each book she writes is just as good or even better than the previous one I have read. This book is wonderful, complete will desire, well-defined characters and a compelling storyline. Engagement or marriage of convenient stories are one of my favorite tropes and this one does not disappoint.

I loved Tallulah. Ms. Fox does an excellent job of evolving her character from a sort of wallflower into a woman who goes after what she wants. Tallulah grew up in a small town with overprotective parents, and now she lives in the city, enjoying her job as a teacher in a daycare. All that is missing from her life is a man to love. Although she is happy to be traveling home to attend her brother's wedding, she is dreading the constant nagging from her parents about getting engaged to her ex-boyfriend and settling down not to far from them. Luckily, she meets her future sister-in-law's brother, Garrett Andersen, and they form a pact.

Security specialist Garrett Andersen is an intriguing character, besides being hot and good-looking. He believes he did not do his job well while in the military, even though he was honorably discharged and received a commendation. Garrett carries a lot of emotional baggage, which he does a good job of hiding from those that he loves and cares about. He is up for a promotion, but needs to prove to his managers that he can handle the stress.

Tallulah and Garrett very quickly become friends and agree to a fake engagement for the next month or so. As a result, Tallulah's parents won't nag and Garrett's promotion is practically in the bag. Another plus, their chemistry is scorching, which makes pretending to be in love extremely easy. Ms. Fox's ability to create loving sex scenes left me all hot and bothered. A cold towel is a definite must while reading this book.

What a great book! I found the story to be so good, I did not want it to end. This is an emotional, erotic romance that should not be missed.

Tallulah Duncan is flying home for her brothers wedding. Her family is very protective and wants her to move home and marry an old boyfriend. But she is happy in Austin and doesn’t want to leave. Can she convince her family that she is already engaged to Garrett Andersen, her brothers comrade who just happens to need her help in showing his company that he is not damaged.
This is a great read. Steamy hot guy you’re going to want to wish he was yours, steamy hot sex that will have you fanning yourself, and an emotional story to pull at your heart strings. I am a stickler when it comes to the demons of the characters overriding the entire story - this one did not disappoint me.
This is the second book in a series, but you can follow the story without having read the first book (I haven’t yet but have put it on my TBR list!)

Wow! This story has a great plot! Love the fact that Tullulah finds her voice thanks to a great guy. They start out playing a sort of prank to protect Tullulah but then find themselves in each other. The 1 thing Garrett doesn't want to happen does.. how will he handle it? You have to read to find out!

Love the Characters and the Plot! Nothing beats a hot guy in a Tutu! Looking for a great romance book.. this is one for you!

Loved this book from the very beginning. A incidental meeting on the way to their siblings wedding, results in a fake engagement between Tallulah and Garrett. It will benefit them both at the time. It was fun to watch these two grow together emotionally and really find out that they both want the same things. It took Garrett a little longer though. The chemistry they shared in and out of bed was sizzling off the pages.
I highly recommend this book. I have not read the first story in The Line of Duty, but I sure will now. I have read a few other Cathryn Fox's books and she does not disappoint in her story telling. I think I have found a new favorite author. I received this book from the author for an honest review.
