Maya McKay’s heart is as big as Jack Rhodes’s shoulders are broad. Their chemistry is out of control, but it could never work between them because Jack is more than just best friends with her cheating ex-husband—they’re like brothers. Maya, the sensitive, practical florist, has given up on love and is ready to settle for like. But now that Jack’s around again, he’s stirring up old feelings—and turning Maya’s fantasies into irresistible reality.

Jack blew his chance with Maya years ago when he stepped aside for his best friend, Will, and he’s still kicking himself about it. Maya was promised forever once before, and she got burned. But when Jack realizes that second chances aren’t going to fall out of the sky, he seizes the moment—and the woman he’s always loved—to show her how forever truly feels.

*I received an ARC from Random House Loveswept in exchange for an honest review* Jack saw Maya first but he let his best friend Will walk away with her. Then Will broke Maya's heart. Jack, torn between his loyalty to his friend and his feelings for Maya, let her slip away from him too. Maya has always loved Jack as a friend but now it's two years since the divorce from Will, and Jack is back in town and she is seeing him in a whole new light. Jack isn't going to lose her again. Jack and Maya have a lot of chemistry and I couldn't wait for them to finally get together, although I was a little disappointed in Jack for withholding information. I totally hated Will and Stella and didn't really get the feeling that Will was remorseful at all. The friends are great and now I need to read their stories too. This is a well-written, engaging romance and I had a hard time putting it down.

This is a sweet heartwarming read with wonderful characters you can relate to. Friends first than loves are the best stories. This was a fun loving very believable story that you will find yourself laughing out loud. They met with a smile each going their own ways but staying friends. One secret love that last a lifetime, one man who would do anything to keep his true love happy. One night holds one secret that if it ever got out would destroy everything he has built with Maya. Jack has been in love with Maya for years, he moved over and let his best friend have her only to have that love destroyed leaving Jack walking away from one friend to keep another. For four years Maya has been his world he has loved her from afar. Now he has the chance to make her his but again family is in the way. How can one keep his family and the women he loves. He is torn and has been for years. He walked away once but he doesn't know if he can again. I fell in love with Jack from the start he is so strong, caring and loving. He is a wonderfully sweet man. If anything he is a little to nice giving in to family and his best friend walking away from the women he has always loved. He holds so many people's hearts in his hands but sooner or later he must make a stand make a choice which could set a family apart.... Maya gave her all to one man four years ago only to find out he wasn't her forever it left her broken and destroyed. Now she is second guessing everything she does. Who to trust, who not to.... She is at a place in her life that she wants a family. There is no man in site she could trust but one man who is off limits. When Jack walks back into her life it is already complicated with the feelings she has for him it just got more complicated. Maya is wonderfully sweet and I give her a high five for doing what she did for her ex. I just do not think I could have. How can a woman have a man who is best friends almost like a brother with her ex. Who will win and who will lose, who will have to walk away from the person they love or the family they adore? The author put a lot of thought into this plot and it's characters. It was a fun loving read which will keep you smiling. There are times when your heart goes out to them and others when you would like to slam some heads together. I liked the chemistry between Maya and Jack it seemed so real and powerful. Griffin was an added touch to the story, which just adds more complication to the story but gives it meaning. I loved Maya group of friends they are supportive but tell it like it is. I even came to like her ex, that really surprised me. I guess everyone grows up at some point. It was an all round good read that will give you the warm and fuzzy feelings. This is the second book I have read by this author who capture her readers pulling them in leaving them wanting more. I am so looking forward to the rest of this series

When Jack first met Mia, years ago, he had feelings for her. However when Will, his “brother” joins him and expresses interest in her, he steps back. Jack owes everything to Will and his family. They rescued him from the foster system when he was a teenager. Eventually, Will and Mia married. However after he cheated on her, she divorced him. Jack returns to town for Will’s wedding. When Mia sees Jack in the pub she is overjoyed. You get a good feel feeling when they first meet up. Both of these two had feeling for each other but neither one of them acted on them. Jack’s feelings for Mia haven’t changed. But because of his strong sense of obligation to Will and his family, he feels he should not purse a relationship with Mia, especially when Will tells him its “bros before hoes”. However the more time they spend together the more feelings they have for each other. What I like best about this author’s books is the wholesome book cover, strong women and a sense of family and friendship. While this one was just as good as the rest, I thought it was a little more serious. While there is humor interspersed throughout the book, I didn’t feel that there was as much as in the other books. However that is not going to stop me from reading books by her. In fact, I think I missed Regan’s story so I will go back and catch up on her story.

This is book # 4 in the Friends First series. It can be read as a standalone. I recommend reading any series book in order for reader enjoyment and understanding. Jack and Maya met the same night she met her ex-husband. Their relationship, if you can call it that, is a very complicated one. He was a foster child taken in by her ex-husbands family. She was someone he wanted but couldn't have. Now 2 years have gone by and he sees her - and that's it. He has sacrificed for what? He admits to himself he needs her in his life. She calms him. Makes him a better, happier person. He has missed even being her friend. Maya knows he is only in town temporarily. There is so much going on and her ex and his family are to blame for much of it. Can she forgive? She knows she will never forget. This is such an amazing story. This whole series is made up of characters that make you root for them and their friendships. I loved the character development that was easy to see from book to book as well. ***This ARC was given by Netgalley.com and its publisher for review purposes only.

What a Fantastic friends to lovers story that kept me smiling the whole way through. Such a wonderful, sweet, loving, fun and oh so sexy and Hot. They are both such sweet people that love and care with all their hearts. Great dialogue, and plenty of witty banter. I was so connected with these great characters and great secondary characters that I was vested in their happiness and their journey. I felt the joy, the quilt, the heartbreak, the jealousy, the attraction and the complete love that emitted from these pages. A full story with great details. Loved that it was told from dual POV's. Maya McKay has been mourning over the loss of her HEA fairytale, her Forever love as well as the loss of her best friend for the last two years and it was due to her cheating ex-husband. He fooled her into thinking that she had found her soul mate, when it was all a lie. But then her best friend Jack Rhodes, who is also best friends with her ex-husband comes back into town and Maya is feelings things when Jack is around that she has never felt before. Four years ago Jack Rhodes met Maya and set his sights on her, only to have his best friend, and foster brother Will, sweep in and romance her away from him. Now two years since he has had any contact with Maya, he finds himself back in town for awhile and he runs into her, while she out with her friends one evening. Maya and Jack's relationship was so much fun to watch develop with the help of Maya's friends and their sizzling chemistry. Everybody thinks they are great together. But will Jack become hesitant again to speak out of loyalty to the family that saved him and lose Maya all over again or will he show her what forever love feels like? You will have to read this to find out. Loved the quotes from the show Friends at the beginning of each chapter. Highly Recommended! Received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

4 star The story has laughs, betrayal, secrets, and heartbreak. This is Maya and Jack’s story. Jack wanted Maya from the first time they met but she fell and married his best friend. When his best friend/brother and Maya broke up he tried to stay away from Maya. Now he is in town for work and runs into Maya. They were friends before but now since they are both single and hanging out they start to fall for each other. Maya wants Jack but Jack thinks that his friend might not like the relationship. So he avoids Maya at times. When they finally get a chance to be together it just might be his adoptive family that ruins it all. When Maya is the bigger person and steps up to help her ex when asked by Jack they think things could never be better. But old secrets are brought to light that might just cause Jack to lose everything. Will he have to choose between Maya and his family or will she make the choice for him? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book.

Jack fell for Maya at first sight, but unfortunately Jack's foster bother Will horned in and stole Maya's affection. They end up married and Jack is happy to be friends with Maya as a consultation prize. Will cheats on Maya and their marriage ends in divorce. Jack's loyalty to his foster family forces him to avoid both Will and Maya. A few years pass, and eventually Jack and Maya are reunited. They resume their friendship, and gradually move towards romance. Their relationship is complicated by secrets and Jack's family. This is a good book that shows the complexity of romance after divorce. It was well written, with great characters, and a realistic plot. Jack and Maya's romance is messy, but well worth the read. 3.5 stars rounded I know with a book from Laura Drewry that the dialogue will feel natural and flow nicely, and each story will highlight an issue that many of us have experience with, personally or in our own circles of friends. In How Forever Feels, we get a chance to peek in on Maya and her second chance at romance. Maya has had a rough time of it, still reeling from her divorce from a lying cheat, she’s decided to just move forward and on. Life for her isn’t going to include the love of a man, 2.5 children and a picket fence. She’s regrouping and adjusting to her own new normal, and then Jack appears. Best friends with her ex, Jack and Maya have always had ‘something’ but he’s constantly deferred to his best friend. They took him in as a child, and he is constantly trying to ‘prove’ his love to them. Jack needs a spine, and the ability to tell his best friend that he behaved despicably toward Maya. There’s a solid deferential streak in Jack that is just not attractive. Even when we are given his history, the lack of growing up that he has done is just annoying. His constant ‘we can’t, but I want you and love you” repetition is frustrating, and I don’t always get Maya’s interest. A bit repetitive, with some seriously boneheaded utterances from Jack, these two are moving toward a happily ever after, until his guilt and the influence of Will’s family takes over his better sense. If for once, Jack would just shut off the outside voices, these two would shine as a couple, he does adore her, and they are meant for one another. Maya has a long road to keep Jack solid, she doesn’t stand up for herself and what she needs nearly enough, and while he’s giving, he’s just not consistently thinking about her, about them. Friends and their support are highlights in the story, the skill that Drewry has in showing connections and developing dialogue are highlights in her stories, and while I didn’t always buy in to the Jack and Maya forever premise, here was a story that I couldn’t put down. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

I received a review copy via NetGalley. The storyline was well placed and follows a pair of good friends who realize they have feelings for each other. One more than the other at first. Maya fell in love with Will, thinking that he would be her forever, leading up to a divorce. Will friend, Jack, has always loved Maya, but allowed Will to take her from his grasp, evidently leading to more than one broken heart. Jack and Maya finally start to open up to each other, but there is some information that is held back, for the sake of fear I suppose. This is a great book and should be on everyone's reading list.

Just another second chance romance? On the surface, Maya and Jack are both the victims of a drive-by romantic disaster, several years and one heartbreaking marriage ago. Now Maya has given up on love, at least for her and Jack is regretting letting his best friend cut in on his chance to win Maya’s heart. When their paths cross again, Jack is determined that this time, Maya will know he wants to be more than a friend, but how does he tell her when he is a reminder of the worst betrayal of her life? How Forever Feels by Laura Drewry is about the pain, the mystery and the packing away of the memories of a lost love. It is also about forgiveness, understanding and opening your heart to what could be your forever love, the one that should have been. Best part, it actually involves more than one couple as well as finding true love, although in a roundabout way. Maya wants the fairytale marriage, as it turns out, so do three other people. Maya needs to move on, forget the past and stop blaming everyone else but herself. Jack is a bear of man, good looking in his own right, but not the suave charmer than his best friend is, but he is sincere and wears his heart on his sleeve. Will it be enough to heal Maya? Laura Drewry makes her characters feel real, flawed and human enough to make mistakes, often devastating ones. She knows how to open their hearts, as well as their eyes to what stands before them. Filled with supportive best friends, some humor and some very revealing moments, this is a quick read for anytime when you just need to have some sweet romance with a little tart undertone. Heck, I can’t even read the title without mentally singing a popular country song, and it fits this romance perfectly! I received an ARC edition from Loveswept in exchange for my honest review.

Loved it! Jack and Maya are so cute together and they totally deserved to find happiness with each other. I felt so bad for what Maya went through with her ex-husband, Will, but I'm glad she discovered what forever really felt like with Jack. It has not an easy journey with Maya being Jack's best friend's ex-wife and with Jack's sense of obligation to his foster mother, which also happen's to be Will's mom. He has loved Maya since he first met her four years earlier, but stepped aside for Will. Jack is so sweet, but he did frustrate me a bit with the way he always but everyone needs/wants before his own. I loved seeing finally putting his foot down with both Will and his mom, and pursue a relationship with her. Being the fourth book in the series, the friendship between the girls as well as the couples is strong and they feel like a big family. I loved the scenes where they all got together, it added fun feel to story and gave me a chance to catch up with the couples for the previous books. Overall a sweet, romantic and fun friends-to-lovers/second chance romance. I highly recommend you read the entire series! 4.5 stars

Loved the story of Jack and Maya. Jack has always loved Maya, even when she married his foster brother, Will. When things did not work for Will and Maya, Jack could not step in. He always put his foster family first. Fast forward four years, Maya is divorced and runs into Jack. Will they get a second chance at love. Loved these characters, Jack has gone through so much growing up, my heart just melted for him. He needed to stand up for what he wanted to his foster family. Maya is just looking for the happily ever after, but can she have it with her ex husband's best friend. Loved the friendships from this whole group of characters. This is the final book in the series, so sad. I will so miss this group. You can read this as a stand alone, but will want to catch up with everyone's HEA. I received this book from netgalley for an honest review.

Sigh... I really have grown to love this author and this series. She consistently delivers on plot, characterization, and swoony men to swoon over. This book is no different. This book is Maya's story. Heartbroken, Maya is still reeling from her husband cheating on her a few years ago. After her divorce she hasn't seen her ex-husband's best friend, Jack in two years. Jack is one of those loyal and dependable people wrapped up in a tall hunky package, except he's her ex-husband's best friend. Will, Maya's ex has all but given Jack the 'Bros before Hos speech, making Jack miserable with trying to please both Will and his heart. The story was extremely well told, with characters you want to root for, even with their flaws. I really enjoyed this from start to finish.

I have loved seeing these characters grow over the past 4 books. The friendship that they have is just beautiful. Maya is the last to get her story and I feel that this one is my favourite. What is there to not love about Jack. Having held a torch for Maya for four years - through her disastrous marriage to his best friend Will and the fall out afterwards, can Jack forget his feelings for Maya and keep his loyalty to Will's family? Each book has had a recurring theme and this one was a cracker - Friends quotes... they had me giggling as I remembered the episodes they were from and how they fit into the chapters. I also particularly enjoyed Jack's Marvel Superhero undies!! Copy received via Netgalley.

I really, really enjoyed this story! It warms my heart to see a nice guy win! Maya McKay is out for a Girls Night with her friends when she runs into Jack Rhodes after 2 years of losing touch with him. They have been friends for 4 years, but drifted apart when her husband Will, Jack's best friend and pseudo brother, cheated on her, ending their marriage. Maya is so thrilled to see Jack. And he feels the same. He's been secretly in love with her since the day they met at a party ... the night that she also met Will and started dating him. He kept his distance and stayed in the friend zone while she was with Will, and then felt like he had to keep her at arms length when she and Will split. But seeing her again makes him really want to be with her. They hang out as friends several times while he's in town for his job, and eventually admit they are attracted to each other, but still keep fighting it since it's so awkward. Jack is super close to Will's family, as they took him in as a teenager from a group home and gave him a good life. He's very devoted to Will's Mom in particular and feels like he owes her his loyalty. How will they react if Jack were to start dating Will's ex-wife. Even though Will was to blame in the break-up, his family is still loyal to him and thinks badly of Maya. Will Jack and Maya decide to take a chance on love or will old loyalties keep them apart?

Maya McKay is trying to put her life back together after a devastating divorce, she thought she had found her soul mate, but boy was she wrong! She desperately wants a family and is willing to do just about anything to have it, even if that means having a child with a man she doesn't think is her "one". But that plan gets put on hold when Jack Rhodes walks back into her life, and brings a little spark into her life she never noticed before. Jack Rhodes has been in love with Maya for over four years, the problem was that she was his brothers wife, but now that they are divorced and he's back in town all bets are off. Jack has his reservations about making a move on Maya for fear of losing his families love and support, but the more time he spends with her, the deeper he falls for her... This was my first encounter with this authors work and I have to admit that I really enjoyed it, so much so, I plan to revisit the series in the near future and read the remaining installments. I really enjoy reading second chance love stories and this one DEFINITELY hit the mark! Highly recommend you add this book to your reading list, it's sure to satisfy all your reading needs, and then some! I loved this book so much!! If you've read the entire series like I have, you knew Maya's story would be filled with drama and Ms. Drewry did not disappoint! While this is the fourth, and I think final, book in the series it can be read standalone but once you meet these great characters you'll find yourself going back and reading the others as well. While reading this I thought Jack needed to man-up and Maya needed to back off the bitchy a bit, in the end I just adored them together. They first met in a crowded bar but while Jack was at the bar getting them a drink, his best friend and foster brother Will stepped in and swept Maya off her feet. Not wanting to damage his relationship with the only family he'd ever had kept him from doing anything about. Now four years and a divorced Maya later, Jack is back in her life and this time he plans to make her his. Forever! An awesome book and series that I recommend to everyone.

Laura Drewy writes compelling stories that explore the heart. She takes real issues and builds stories that appeal to the emotions. How Forever Feels is a story of regret, guilt and the one that got away. Maya and Jack are friends first. When Maya needs him most Jack is always there to help pick up the pieces. As she starts to see him in a whole new light, Jack struggles with regret over missed chances, guilt about the way he feels and determination. He intends to show her what love really is. I knew Ms. Drewry was good, but How Forever Feels is my favorite story of hers so far. I love second chance stories and am so glad Maya and Jack got a chance to have one. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
