I am glad there is a book out there with a Biblical perspective on losing weight. It's going in my wish list.

I only read the sample, and I was quite keen, until I hit : "Read Ecclesiastes 2. What did wise King Solomon conclude after his extensive experiment in pursuing pleasure as an end in itself?" And, next : "Jesus stated, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink..." I am glad that the sample provided a warning/disclaimer/whatever that this book has a Christian slant. I wish I knew how much of it is in the later pages, but it seems like it might be prominent. An earlier question had been "How would you describe your own relationship with God? When did God become more than an idea or concept to you?" This shows me that, while this will be ideal for another person, as an agnostic this book will most likely prove useless to me. If it had only been mentions of God I could have spun it to 'the earth' or 'nature' or 'oneness with self' or something, but quotes from the bible? Not for me. Hopefully this will speak to someone else, though!
