For Abby Renard, the plan was supposed to be simple--join her brothers' band on the last leg of their summer tour and decide if she's finally ready for the limelight by becoming its fourth member. Of course, she never imagined stumbling onto the wrong tour bus at Rock Nation would accidentally land her in the bed of Jake Slater, the notorious womanizing lead singer of Runaway Train. When he mistakes her for one of his groupie's, Abby quickly lets him know she sure as hell isn't in his bed on purpose.

Jake Slater never imagined the angel who fell into his bed would resist his charms by promptly kneeing him in the balls. Of course, the fact she seems like a prissy choir girl makes her anything but his type. So he is more than surprised when after betting Abby she wouldn't last a week on their tour bus, she is more than willing to prove him wrong. But as Jake's personal life begins to implode around him, he finds an unlikely ally in Abby. He's never met a woman he can talk to, joke with, or most importantly make music with.

As the week starts comes to a close, neither Abby nor Jake is ready to let go. Can a sweetheart Country songstress and a bad boy of Rock N Roll actually have a future together?

Really good read. I stayed up until 2am trying to read this in one sitting. At first, I thought I was going to end up reading a Christian, religious book because of the references in the beginning. (Nothing wrong with that, just not what I like to read) but the book moved into rocker land quick and Abby adjusted to it well. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Abby, the fiesty virgin that cusses, and Jake, the damaged rocker, make their relationship work through hard work, dedication, communication, and forgiveness, Mostly from Abby. She was Jake's saving grace, his light of hope. This book provided me with an escape and allowed me to become apart of their world. If this turns into a series, I will continue on with them. I look forward to learn more about AJ, Rhys, and Abby's twin brothers.

4.5 Stars This is going to be a quick, down-and-dirty review as I have read this book numerous times as a Beta reader as well as an editor. I am simply amazed at the growth and development of this book over the last two weeks up until Katie pressed the "publish" button. I simply adored Abigail aka Angel, who is the main female character. Abby is almost twenty-two years old, has a voice of an angel, and admits that swearing is her one and only vice. She is also a virgin and has been saving that "gift" for the love of her life who she has yet to meet. While searching for her brothers' tour bus (Jacob's Ladder), Abby mistakenly ends up on Runaway Train's tour bus, along with the hot, lead vocalist known as Jake Slater, and his bandmates AJ, Brayden, and Rhys. Jake is the handsome rocker who is only interested in one-night stands. He has no desire for a committed relationship, nor does he have the time. In his mind, women have one use and one use only. After a bet, Abby stays on the bus for a week, and during that time there are many funny scenes where Katie Ashley's incredible writing and humor comes through. One of my favorite scenes is when Abby sings "Like a Virgin" to Jake at a diner. I could visualize the entire scene simply by reading the pages. We also learn that Jake's mom's cancer has returned, and Abby gets to witness a side of Jake she had no idea even existed. Jake's answer to everything is to get mad, isolate himself, and hurt the people that love him the most. Due to some of the choices and events in his life, he doesn't think he is worthy of having someone truly love him for the person he is...the person he tries to hide from everyone. Katie Ashley's heartfelt scenes between Jake and his mom, Susan, were real and heart-wrenching. Unfortunately, I know this from personal experience so the realness was very, very important to me. Yes, this book has the hot rocker, some great steamy love scenes, angst, humor, heartbreak, and tears. But once again, it's proof of the incredible writing skills of Katie Ashley.

wow, they made Jake really really really hard to like here. He was not a likeable character at all.

Did all reviewers forget to mention Jake was an A%#wipe? After how he treated her at the beginning of the book, they passed a point of no redemption. D.O.N.E!!! He never attempts to truly make it up to her. AND after saving herself, she deserved someone more worthy. I hate these new storylines that try and baptize manwhores through some symbolism of female virginity. That was the old romance book formula from the 1980s.

I had already read and enjoyed Katie Ashley's first two books so when I saw this new book written by her I was excited. Having already bought two new books I decided to read this one first because as I said I absolutely loved the her books. I was not disappointed , the book was even better . It made me laugh , cry , then laugh again. The story was beautiful written and completely enthralling . I could not put it down. I hate spoilers so I won't go into detail but if your thinking about getting this please do . Katie Ashley will soon become one of your favorites!

I had high hopes for this book because I loved 2 others from this author but I didn't love this book. I would not recommend it or reread it like I do so many others. I was completely underwhelemed that I will think twice before I spend money on another book from her even with liking her other stories. The main character Jake is an ass. (Can i say that in a review? Especially when more fitting words describe him.) The naive way Abby forgives him constantly is unrealistic. He never seems regretful or remorseful about the way he treats her even when you read it from his POV. There are many bad boys who we read about that fall in love and change their ways and us as readers fall in love with them and their story. But that is definatley not the case with this book. I enjoy the multi POV it helps the story but that and the other band members is all I enjoyed. Its hard when you can't get connected with the main characters. I am still shaking my head at how this book let me down, took me by surprise at how horrible their relationship was.

I liked this book and the characters for the most part were really awesome. I had problems with Abby's character. She comes off as a strong woman with strong beliefs but she constantly forgives Jake for being a horrible jerk. I can forgive harsh things that have been said, but to forgive a man who literally takes another woman into the room next to the one your sitting in and proceeds to screw her brains out very loudly, that's a bit too forgiveness for me. Maybe if the author had given Jake a few months to grow up a little and then bring them back together I would enjoy the book more, but the way the author did it was too quick and too forgiving for me. I know for a fact that when I was younger and a guy chose another chick over me because she would give him action and I wouldn't I couldn't get over it so quickly. Instead when the guy came sniffing around me again I led him on and then became a couple with another guy from our group of friends. So while the book was entertaining I don't recommend it to those who want a strong woman to have a little more pride and not constantly forgive a guy for being such a major jerk without any real work. Because of the quality of the writing and the potential I see when I read her work I will be trying this author again with another book.

One of the better indie stories, this one is a good fairy tale romance. The characters are likeable, but too contradictory to be believable - for example, an ex-missionary virgin good girl who does a slutty karaoke rendition of Like A Virgin, including a lap dance? Or a bus full of hard rockers who are instantly on their best behavior? It's a story of what we'd like to see, and that's what made it enjoyable even if not wholly reasonable. Who needs reason in romance?

I feel like this book had so much more potential. I really liked the premise, and it started off ok. But after that I felt like things just became too easy. They fight, someone apologizes, and then they are all hunky dory again. Lather, rinse, repeat. I also feel like Abby wasn't "Christian" enough, and Jake wasn't "bad boy" enough. I just wasn't convinced. She was raised by missionaries and her brothers are in a Christian rock band that she is thinking of joining. I would have at least expected her to mention God, or praying or the bible at some point. Or for her to chastise Jake when he said Christ or Jesus. And I don't feel like he was bad boy rocker so much as a sex addict. I also felt like it started to drag a bit after Abby left the tour bus. That being said, I flew right through this book. It was at least good enough to keep my attention.

There was very little character development. I was also very put off by the many gramatical isues. It is like nobody proofed it before they published it.

Im in love with this book. The passion behind the writing is truly inspirational and beautiful. The chemistry and love between the Jake & Abby seems to jump off of the page and make you wish you were able to witness it in person. Truly an amazing book. I cant wait to read more from Katie Ashley.
