All roads lead home when that’s where you’ve left your heart.
Compass Brothers, Book 1
Silas Compton always had his eye on Lucy, the veterinarian’s daughter. He was even content to wait for the girl of his dreams to grow up before getting anywhere near her with his family’s double-edged legacy.
Waiting around led to fooling around with his best friend—and an impulsive eruption of desire that Lucy’s innocent eyes weren’t meant to see. Figuring Compton Pass wasn’t big enough for either the three of them or the pain he’d caused, Silas let loose his tightly reined wanderlust and headed for Alaska.
Ten years later, when an oil rig accident sends him home, he braces himself for the reopening of old wounds. Instead he finds himself in the care—and welcoming arms—of Lucy and Colby, whose marriage has plenty of room for the man they both still love. And forgive with all their hearts.
As things start to unravel at Compass Ranch, Silas must dig deep for the strength to assume his rightful place in the Compton family…and lay the foundation for a future with his lovers. If he can forgive himself.
Warning: This book is overflowing with sexy cowboys who like to saddle up and ride each other as well as the woman of their dreams. The likelihood of becoming addicted to their ranch family is high. With three more stories yet to come, beware. You won’t be able to read just one!

FYI. Read the synopsis before buying a book. If this is the kind or reading you enjoy then buy it. If it's not for you, then don't, but you don't need to be narrow minded and bash it.
These authors are wonderful at what they do, and this book was exactly what I expected.
Great characters, steamy read!
Loved it!

Sometimes, someone loves so deeply it cannot be obliterated by time or distance; it is a love that will last forever. When Young Silas leaves home so that he will not destroy the two people he loves most in the world, Lucy and Colby, he does not realize he is leaving a hole in their hearts that will not be mended until he returns to them. It is not until Silas almost dies and has to return home that he learns that the circle of love is not complete without him.
When I started reading Northern Exposure I was not sure what to expect, but it was not the heartwarming sensation I found in reading about all three of the characters finding their place together after ten years apart. It is not everyday that you fall in love with all the characters in a book, but each one left me with a warm and contented feeling through out the story.
Both Jayne Rylon and Mari Carr did an incredible job telling this wonderful story, and the plot just flowed like cool water on a hot summer day from beginning to end. Yes, there were some steamy love scenes between the three -- enough to make you squirm in your seat -- but it was definitely done with good taste and a lot of soul deep emotion.
Northern Exposure is truly a love story that will warm the heart and take the chill of the winter from your bones. Do not miss this one --it will be an absolutely delicious addition to your library. I cannot wait for the next book in the Compass Brothers series so I can see how Lucy, Colby and Silas are doing as well as see what Silas' other brothers are up to.

I wasn't expecting this to be a dude on dude on chick. That was a surprise. But finally, a erotica/romance/adult story that had SEX in it, and not just SEX but it was good. The descriptions and the building sexual tension in everything that was described was sexcellent without being vulgar. It takes a talented writer(s) to pull that off and they did just that.

More wonderful writing from Rylon and Carr. Just what I expect from both authors. Great start to what I'm sure will be an awesome series! Oh, and Doc79...it's called "erotica", a legitimate form of literature that's been around for hundreds of years. You might wanna look in to it.

dont snub your nose at the book and author. i love the book so far.love kink and all.the fact that there is M/M love doesnt bother me at all.so pay attention to the warning and the bio on the book.it clearly states their is more to the men then friendship...so dont buy it if you dont think you can handle M/M.

OK, where to start describing this book... This book is Not what I thought it was going to be about, I though it was going to be somewhat like the TV show...um no, stupid me.. I read under 50 pages of the book and then deleted it off my nook! This book for me has disgusting homosexual acts that were raw and full of carnage...again this was under 50 pages read! For me these authors have sick fantasies! I do not judge or condemn homosexual acts,I'm not God. This book is not for me, it is not a light romance novel...it was rather like reading porn...something I'm not into. To me it felt sinister to read and I could not continue with it knowing that Jesus was watching me read it! If you like reading hard core porn..this books for you, I hope you can digest more than I could...I think I'll stick with Jude Deveraux's light clean romance novels.

The authors do an excellent job introducing the situation and the complex relationships of the protagonist. I felt it wrapped up a little too quickly and there were some loose strings, but overall it was a great story. The sensual parts were hot, and the intensity of emotions between the triad was apparent and lovely. I wish the other Compass Brothers books were available for the Nook.

Good character development and story and HOT. I agree with other reviewer that there were loose ends left, and could have ended better. Will look for others by these authors

i read this book and i love erotica but i just don't know about this one. it was hot but unbelievasble but thats just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions. so i'l leave that up to each reader but for me it didn't make me want to purchase the rest of the series but it's a great rainy day read.

I feel that this book is dragging and does not keep me wanting to read it like the ones i read from Lorelei James. It is just a slow book and i have not even finished it. I read all of the rough riders series in a month and it has 11 books and 1 free one. I just think it could be better not enough to keep me interested.

Silas was written as an overly dramatic and annoying main character and his 10yrs away from home was a misunderstanding! Really bad storyline everything was too much, too forced.
For how mmf it should be done, try Lorelei James Rough, Raw, Ready or Allyson James Aiden and Ky!
