That I would be swept away from the hell I lived in. She was right about one thing and so wrong about the other. Heaven came in the form of an angel just like she said. Beautiful. Perfect. An angel. And then. My life became hell. She disappeared. Vanished. I left. Went to war. Killed. All for her. Every face was the man who took her. Every dream filled with her. For twelve years I existed in hell. Breathed in the fires from down below. Until her, the woman on the beach outside of my home. Captivating. Enchanting. Mesmerizing. It couldn't be my Cora, my angel, my heaven on earth. She was dead. Wasn't she?

This is the first book in a new series called The Saints. It features Riddick and Cora who were high school sweethearts who were brutally ripped apart by her absolutely rotten to the core brother. Fate brings them back together twelve years later. I enjoyed the secondary characters the most – Ethan may be the most well-adjusted kid you’ll ever meet and Cora’s second family are true saints. Riddick’s friends are the quintessential alpha males who we’ll meet in future books in the series. Cora’s character was frustrating at times. Her decision-making was not always the best – to say the least – but her heart was always in the right place. Check out the series if you enjoy alpha males that aren't afraid to cry.

Cora & Riddick are from rival biker gangs. Romeo & Juliette story. They get mixed info that the other died and run into each other as next door neighbors. Sappy but I'll roll with it. The problem? The dialogue. It's choppy. Doesn't flow. Broken weird slang. Repeating it's drama over and over. I read," my angel my heaven on earth" on nearly every page. No exaggeration. Then when they unite they cry, their posses cry, we all cry, together? Nooooooo. This has so much potential but the writer reminds you of the whole backyard story every other page. Like I'd forget Coras brother beat her knowing she's pregnant.

An unusual mix of strength and tenderness. If u want to know what true honor and love is...read this book. The language is a bit raw, but the honesty of what love is will blow u away. Surprising and touching.

Blood is not always thicker than water My Gosh! This book gives me goosebumps while reading especially the last two chapters of the book. I was so nervous reading the last two chapters but I finished it without peeking the end of the book. Blood in not always thicker than water. You will find that out with Jesse. Cora's big brother is wicked and so evil. What he did to his younger sister is so brutal. I am so glad that Cora get her revenge at the end. This book is so beautiful to read. It is too sweet and too hot at the same time. True love really exist. If you were meant for each other, you will be in the end despite what happened to the past. The book is too emotional to read. There are many emotions involved in this story. You will get made, happy and scared. Ethan is such a cute boy. This book melts my heart and I laugh out loud as well. It is a deadly combination of sorrow and happiness. Cora is my favorite character. This woman has been though a lot. She came so strong and protective to the end. Riddick, my oh my! this guy is beyond hotness overload. Is he for real? I hope I can meet a guy like him. What a beautiful book to read. I highly recommend it if you love to read romance and suspense.

Riddick it's one of those books that I could read over and over again. There is no love quite like your first love. It is unforgettable and a once in a lifetime thing. Imagine finding out you are pregnant by the love of your life and then having that love ripped away from you. To make it worse, it was by someone who should love and protect you, but beat you instead. My heart was torn in pieces watching the pain and suffering. Cora endured so much but she had grace and strength to pull herself together to protect her son. For 12 years she suffered the loss and lived with the regret of leaving Riddick in order to save him. For 12 years Riddick lived a life in torment. He believed his Cora, his angel, was dead and his life was spent morning her. Until……  Get ready for this powerful second chance romance that will completely break you and then put you back together again. It is full of everything I love in a book – action, suspense, danger, love, family, healing and forgiveness. You'll definitely need tissues when you read this book.
