Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"SCARE ME is an engrossing, addictive, and all consuming thriller by an author who looks to have mastered the craft of suspense and heart pounding action. I highly recommend SCARE ME."
-OzNoir, Just A Guy That Likes 2 Read

"A roller coaster ride of thrills. The tension never lets up – do NOT read this at night because you will not go to sleep until the book is finished."
-Cayocosta72

"The storyline for Scare Me is so well thought out and written. The believable characters facing such heinous but not impossible situations makes for chilling reading."
-Bookshelf Butterfly

"The human connection family—constructed or biological—provides a sharp contrast with the technological connections that bind the characters, test the characters, and threaten to break the characters if the inevitable linkage failures occur."
-Neliza Drew, Criminal Element

"Lock your doors, keep the lights on and plan to stay up late, because this is one very clever scavenger hunt from hell that you won’t want to miss!"
-My Bookish Ways

"Creepy, menacing, tramatic, and full of supense and tension, this book is definitely a keeper. I easily read over half of it in one go and definitely recommend it to fellow thriller readers."
-Notes of Life

"Full of tantaslising twists and turns, this novel keeps you guessing until the very last few pages and then teases you with the potential for more. An utterly fabulous crime novel that will keep you pinned to your seat."
-The Tattooed Book

It was ok. Graphic violence, some adult situations but nothing worse than you'd get from Law and Order or Criminal Minds. Got a bit dull and repetitive at times but overall not a bad read. About 330 pages long.

MURDER EVERYWHERE! This is a very good book, albeit a few graphic murders. Great read for more mature audiences.

I've read a ton of mystery thriller type books. This was the first that I just didn't like. It felt long, yes a good story line, but the ending was predictable and it felt so drawn out. I would like to know more like some others said, but not sure I'd want to dig into another drawn out book to find out.

The last chapter will leave you stunned.

Very good fast paced read. Wish I knew what happened to Tam and if Luke was involved with the kidnapping...not sure why Tam was part of the story? But would read this author again for sure.

WOW! This story line is exceptional! It grabs you by throat and keeps you there for the duration. Who know from the very first page who the antagonist is ... a girl named Poppy. The real question is WHO is Poppy and WHY is she doing what she's doing. Will and Carla have been happily married for 19 years. They have a daughter, Libby, who is 18 and pregnant. Libby and her boyfriend are on a mini-vacation and Will and Carla will be celebrating their anniversary in just a few days. When Will gets a phone call in the middle of the night, all their lives are forever changed. Someone has kidnapped their daughter and set up a kind of scavenger hunt that Will must follow in order to save his daughter. He is sent to different houses in Florida to find things that belong to his daughter...and he must get to those houses before the police do. The first house holds four dead bodies ... and it just gets more bizarre from there. I kept wanting to flip through the pages to see what was coming, but couldn't because I needed to see what was happening now! The author does a fine job in sustaining the suspense. The ending was quite unexpected. 5 Stars! My thanks to the author / NetGalley / Angry Robot / Exhibit A who furnished a digital copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

I had a hard time getting anything done. This book was a surprise----not the usual mystery that seems to be the norm. If you like murder mysteries, you will enjoy this book

Very exciting book. The father rambled on too much about guilt in not being in his child's life and not protecting her. That went on overlong, but otherwise, it is a good book.

Something was missing with this book for me...and I can't quite put my finger on it. It was mysterious and a thrill ride but something kept the book from moving quickly...had it read fast I think my review and feelings after would have been different.
