Overview

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Roxanne St. Claire has been enchanting readers with stories set on an idyllic slice of paradise off the coast of Florida known as Barefoot Bay for two years. In the first Barefoot Bay series, four friends joined forces to build and run a homegrown resort and spa and, in the process, found life-long love.
Now it is time to get to know some of the special guests of Casa Blanca Resort & Spa, which is fast turning into a playground for the rich and an elite destination wedding site. In the brand new Billionaires of Barefoot Bay trilogy, meet a trio of sexy heroes and the most unlikely ladies who steal their hearts in three novella-length love stories.
Secrets on the Sand: Zeke Nicholas has turned his mathematical genius skills into a mountain of money. But Zeke sits on that mountain all alone, longing for the one thing money cannot buy: a lifelong partner and true love. Zeke grew up near Barefoot Bay and is staying at the resort for a week while he’s in town for a family event. Enter Mandy Mitchell...the maid. Except, Mandy is much more than that to Zeke—she was the object of his every teenage dream back in the days when she was known as “Mandy the Magnificent” and he had the unflattering high school senior nickname of “Ezekiel the Geekiel.”
Zeke is no longer a geek—he’s gorgeous. And Mandy doesn’t feel so magnificent since her marriage fell apart and left her up to her eyeballs in debt and despair. The minute they meet again, Mandy knows he’s exactly the kind of trouble she should avoid...but Zeke does have one thing Mandy needs to gain the independence she craves. Will he give it to her? One look at Mandy, and Zeke turns his relentless ability to get what he wants into a full-on seduction and he’s ready to give her anything. But can Mandy face down the secrets of her past to find a fairy-tale future with Zeke?

Remember the labels that we used on each other in high school? Jock? Snob? Beauty Queen? Slut? Geek? Roxanne St. Claire has captured that time in our lives & brings the characters into adulthood. Proving that the labels we placed on one another may or may not be accurate later in life.

Amanda “Mandy the Magnificent” Mitchell, head cheerleader & homecoming queen has returned to Mimosa Key where she now works at Casa Blanca Resort & Spa as a junior housekeeper. Her marriage didn’t work out and she is desperately trying to keep her head above water doing honest work.

Zeke “Ezekiel the Geekiel” Nicholas, comes home for his father’s birthday. Zeke has made a name for himself; he has money, power & class. He is no longer the nerd from high school that spent hours contemplating mathematical equations. This muscular, handsome, billionaire gets Mandy fired from her job and only wants to help her. If he is able to get her into his bed, well that will be OK with him.
Sit back & enjoy the first of the Billionaires of Barefoot Bay series.

This book was fine. I like the hero and the heroine. However, the romance takes place over the course of a week and so it is a bit fast. The hero had a crush on the heroine in high school and he is now a super hot rich guy while she is down on her luck. I really wish he was still nerdy. He can be hot and nerdy.

A quick easy read with flat secondaries.

Everything Roxanne writes is amazing! I'm single, but she makes me feel like I'm not haha! I got so lost in this book, I didn't want it to end. Thankfully there are more in the series!

My heart went out to Mandy, who suffered from an abusive relationship in her past which is something I understand. I felt like I healed with her, as she came to love and trust the billionaire, Zeke who really really changed since high school.

    Such plot twists! such passion!

Although it isn't necessary I recommend starting with the Barefoot Bay Saga in four parts. By the time you finish
the last one - which I loved, BTW, you'll be so hooked on this little slice of paradise you'll be begging for more.
Luckily, Ms. St.Claire has obliged us with another  sun-kissed story centered around Casa Blanca resort and
spa where Mandy, former high school beauty queen and divorced wife of her wealthy high school beau,
has fallen far from her former glory and is now struggling to make ends meet as a maid at the resort.
Enter Zeke who has morphed from nerd to knock-out handsome with more money than he knows what to do
with. Mandy could use a little to start her own cleaning service - and so the dance begins.
Pick this up and step into the world of the Billionaires of Barefoot Bay - you won't want to leave!

Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St Claire

Mandy Mitchell was the high school Homecoming Queen. But an unfortunate choice of a former husband has drastically changed her income level and she is now barely hanging on as a maid at Barefoot Bay. With a supervisor out to make trouble, Mandy soon finds herself in a compromising situation with Zeke Nicholas. Zeke had a crush on Mandy back in high school and he's not about to let her slip away this time around. Mandy has been emotionally burned and Zeke will have to move carefully to gain her trust.

A lovely emotionally touching romance with a little zip and humor thrown into this novella. It's fun to re-visit Barefoot Bay and visit with old friends while lviing a new romance. Mandy and Zeke are instantly attracted when they re-meet and it's exciting to follow their pretend courtship while it becomes real and meaningful t them both. And oh, we need to wish that Tori gets what she deserves at some point. And what of the rest of that Billionaire softball team? I want to know which ladies will take out the next player for the team. I'm looking forward to reading more Barefoot Bay treasures.

I recieved a copy of this book from the author.

How exciting to be back in Barefoot Bay! I am a big fan of the original series of 4 books and was ecstatic to learn there would be a series of novellas centered on the island. I can honestly say each novella is on my most anticipated list for the new year.

I am often skeptical of books with billionaire somewhere in the title. They often seem to trendy to me and I avoid them. I am glad to report that although the books are indeed about billionaires, the characters are genuine and likeable from the very first page. Zeke and Amanda have great chemistry, right from the get-go. There's plenty of humor and heart, making it easy to get lost in the story. Reunion stories tend to be my favorites, and even though Zeke and Amanda never dated in high school, this was a great reunion romance that I will read again.

I should mention that this was a good length for a novella, not leaving you wanting more or feeling like it was rushed. The story is paced well and has plenty of conflict to keep it interesting. There are even some entertaining supporting characters that add to the overall twist in the plot, giving it the feel of a novel instead of a shorter novella.

Roxanne (as always) does an excellent job with descriptions making it easy to get lost on the beach, ride in a helicopter and travel to an island off Miami.

This was a fun and entertaining read. I am not so patiently waiting for the rest of the series!

In Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St. Claire, Mandy, once known

In Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St. Claire, Mandy, once known as "Mandy the Magnificent" is not the same person she was in high school.  Things used to come easy to Mandy...but now, years later, circumstances now have her working as a maid at the resort in Barefoot Bay.  She is still full of hopes and dreams though, even if they really are only dreams and she has to work under Tori (in my mind Tori the terror!) who makes her work life miserable.  Disillusioned and broke after a bad marriage, Mandy is doing what she has to do to make ends meet.

Zeke, formerly known as "Ezekiel the Geekiel" is now hugely successful financially and is back in Barefoot Bay for his father's birthday party.  When Zeke opens his villa door, he is shocked that the object of many of his high school fantasies is now working as a maid. Mandy is even better than he remembers her being...and she is once again on his mind constantly.  Zeke wouldn't mind spending some time with Mandy, but Mandy has no desire to enter into any kind of relationship...even if Zeke makes her hotter than she wants to be!

With Tori out to rid Mandy of her job, Zeke makes Mandy a proposition she tries to refuse but can't.  What's a week of her time pretending to be Zeke's girlfriend?  Soon though it doesn't feel like pretend anymore, but Mandy is going to have to deal with her past if she wants there to be a future.  Will Zeke wait for her or have the demons from her past chased him away for good?  Neither of them were looking for anything, and now that they've found it will they fight for it?

I loved both the main characters in Secrets on the Sand - they will pull you in and you will feel like you've known them forever.  Mandy has been through a lot lately, but she's working hard to move on without immersing herself in self pity.  I love that in a heroine, it really makes Mandy easy to relate to.  I do think she thinks worse of herself than anyone else does, and this is demonstrated time and time again in Secrets in the Sand.  Mandy really seems to be learning and growing from her past experiences, even if she is very cautious when it comes to men.  She does not want to be burned again!  Zeke has had his bad luck in relationships too, and it's made him very cautious.  But something about Mandy makes him throw caution to the wind.  He is really listening to his heart in Secrets in the Sand, and once he knows what he wants he goes for it!  He sounds like a guy I wouldn't have minded getting to know a lot better!  I like him because he has morals and wants to do right and for other's to do right.

Tori is the perfect villainess and she adds more drama to Secrets on the Sand.  I love her character because Roxanne turns her into the typical immature, never left high school kind of character that will drive you crazy!

Secrets on the Sand is a fast paced, fun and easy to read novella.  Roxanne manages to give us a full story in a novella length without leaving you feeling short changed.  It was fun to see other characters from the Barefoot Bay books, but they make minor appearances and you definitely can read Secrets on the Sand as a stand alone!  (Although I highly recommend the other books too!)  I'd recommend Secrets on the Sand for any romance reader looking for a fun but romantic novella with a little drama to stir things up!

When Zeke Nicholas runs in to Amanda Mitchell old feeling from high school are ignited. Problem is he is a billionaire and she is working as a maid in the glorious resort he chose for a temporary home.
As usual Roxanne St Claire weaves her spell of romance and a little mystery and a lot of problems to be over come. Amanda and Zeke are attracted but each has reason to deny the pull and get on with their lives.
Then Amanda loses her job, unfairly, and Zeke digs deeper and discovers that she is not only the angel in appreance that he worshipped in high school, she is a talented and goodheartes person.
I love the way St Claire always tells and honest story of love and romance and a happily ever after even when it seems impossible. By the time you reach the end of this story you feel you could be right there on the beach with them.
If you haven't read Roxanne St Clair before this is a great place to start.

    A short, sweet read...

Mandy Mitchell was the golden girl of high school but the years after graduation did not treat her kindly. Her circumstances in life have dropped dramatically, she is now a maid and one with a secret who has learned the lesson of humility.

Zeke Nicholas was the geek in high school that no one paid attention to or if they did so not kindly. He has grown up into a good gorgeous man whose mathematical genius made him a billionaire. Zeke had a crush on Mandy in high school and finds he still feels for her after all these years. Mandy is blown away by the man Zeke has become but she is damaged from a bad marriage and not free to love.

This was a short, sweet if a bit unbelievable romance of two former high school students 12 years after graduation. This story takes you back to memories of high school which did not appeal to this reader, those days of peers being mean to each other are best left forgotten.

Roxanne St. Claire does write a good story, great descriptions, enjoyable banter, and interesting characters. This reader would have liked it more of there had been less reminders of high school and typical behaviors of those times being brought forward to the present by some of the characters, this is very much subjective to this reader.

Love this new second-chance-at-love story from Roxanne St. Clair

Love this new second-chance-at-love story from Roxanne St. Claire! Roxanne has long been one of my favorite authors, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed her Barefoot Bay series. In Secrets on the Sand, she takes readers along with her back to the sumptuous Casa Blanca Resort in beautiful Barefoot Bay, but this time with a new twist—billionaires! Fun, sexy, and chock full of emotion, this was one I couldn’t put down from opening line to an awesome happy ending. (I sooooo want to be Mandy!) In fact, the only problem was...I want more! And can’t wait for the next Billionaires of Barefoot Bay novella.

This story was so, so good! This wasn't one of those short novellas that leave you wishing the story had been developed more, it was long enough to let the relationship unfold the way it needed to and I honestly just felt like it was perfectly done. I loved both the hero & heroine, their interactions were so well written and made for a genuinely enjoyable read. This is a continuation of Roxanne St. Claire's Barefoot Bay series (which I highly recommend) but could definitely be read as a standalone & would be a good intro to the series for anyone just picking it up. Highly recommend this one :)

I loved this book! I am a huge fan of geeky guys...heck I married one. Our hero, Ezekiel Nicholas, was the geek in school, whom no one paid attention to, He worshiped Mandy Mitchell from afar. She was the popular one, a cheerleader! Imagine his surprise when 10 years later she is the cleaning maid at the villa he is staying at in Barefoot Bay. At first Mandy doesn't recognize him because Zeke is all grown up! ;) Don't worry, he still is a geek though having graduated from MIT and Harvard Business School and has become a billionaire. Zeke is obviously still interested in Mandy and wants to take her out on a date. Mandy declines because of an issue from her past. Zeke comes to realize that Mandy needs money and since he wants to help her, he makes her a business proposition. The sexy, fun story that ensues is perfect. Zeke is slowly getting Mandy to fall in love with him and now he just has to figure out a way to make her permanently his. The happy ever after ending was just perfect. Zeke is my new favorite Barefoot Bay hottie! <3

Smokin Hot Barefoot Bay Novella Roxanne St. Claire takes us back

    Smokin Hot Barefoot Bay Novella
Roxanne St. Claire takes us back to Barefoot Bay and the resort we grew to love on the Barefoot Bay series. The resort is up and running and has attracted the billionaire Zeke, who grew up in Mimosa and was not the handsome rich man he has turned into, but was Ezekiel the Geekiel in high school who had a crush on Mandy the Magnificent. Mandy's life has not turned out as charmed as Zeke's and she has returned home after a bad marriage with a secret and has to work as a maid at Casa Blanca.
The story show how some people cannot let high school and the nicknames that were given to peopel go. And how some people outgrow the monikers they were given. Throughout the story you try figure out what the secret that Mandy has kept and how bad her marriage could have been. Zeke just wants to love her and help her but the secret may be too much for him.
Cannot wait for the next two novellas in this series.
