Overview

One choice can ruin everything…

When a stop at a shady motel puts Brandon Parker face to face with his best friend, Mary, for the first time in over a decade, he almost didn’t believe it.
He’d never stopped searching for her, but even a career in law enforcement couldn’t help him find a woman who wanted to stay invisible.

When Mary Benson ran away at eighteen, she did it with good reason. A man was in the hospital because of her, and the people she loved were in danger. She had to leave to keep them safe.

Mary's guilt was her consolation. She’d lived with her decisions and accepted the hand dealt to her. But Brandon was about to shuffle the deck in a way she never expected.
One thing was for sure, he thought she’d be happy to see him… and he’d never been more wrong about anything in his life.

I didn't think it was possible to love a Parker brother more than I loved Travis. Within the first page of Show Me How, I was proved wrong. He was seriously so hot, romantic, sweet, sexy and perfect my heart almost couldn't take it! ;) And Mary had a huge transformation from a scared girl, to closed off woman, then a woman who put her past behind her and came out MUCH stronger! Anna Brooks has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Show Me How is book two of the It's Kind Of Personal series. It. Was. Amazing!!!!! I don't know how else to describe it. Brandon Parker has always loved Mary Benson. Always. And the same was true in reverse. Their friendship was the most important thing to them, so they never, truly acted on their feelings. Mary was running away from her home life and Brandon needed to be her safe place. Brandon took his dads words to heart and decided to keep it strictly friendly, until high school was over. Then all bets were off. Unfortunately, the moment of truth never came because Mary ran, far and fast because one night changed everything. You catch a glimpse of their reunion in Make Me Forget, but reading it through their eyes is incredibly intense. Their journey together is incredible. It's swoon-worthy, knee buckling, dramatic, sexy, sweet and HOT! Make sure you read Make Me Forget before reading Show Me How.....and please, do so IMMEDIATELY! ;)

4 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, grief, betrayal, long lost love, and heartbreak.  If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Make Me Forget (It's Kind Of Personal #1) This is Mary and Brandon’s story. Mary’s home life was bad but she always has Brandon to lean on.  She fell in love with Brandon but they were just best friends.  When one night someone broken into her house and tried to attack her but ended up hurting Brandon’s father she runs.  She just knows that the man will be back for her.  For years Brandon looks for her everywhere.  One day while tracking down a woman he finds her.  He is determined to get to the bottom of her running and keep her forever.  Will her past come for her?  Will she be able to deal with what she put Brandon and his family through?  Will they be able to be a couple and love each other again?  I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
