This book is to long for the series. The other ones are like picture books. This one is like two chapter books put together

This book has a bit of an unusual layout with comparisons to classic movies that I thought took up too much space and, though ineresting at times, mostly detracted from the story. The conclusion was unexpected, and not pleasantly, because I was looking for a happy ending and what I got was a very blase one instead--not sad, just lame.
