TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s possession, power or control.

Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.
Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.
He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.

Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.
Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.
At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.
He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.

Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

I started Try day before yesterday and I finished Take 15 minutes ago that tells you that I absolutely enjoyed theses books.  I did not know Ella Frank before but I know her now and I am hooked to her writing style.  You will love Logan and Tate in these reads...well I did.  She writes about people , places and  situations that anyone could come up against.  It is done with a forth rightness about their relationship , humor and some sizzling heat!!!  I hope book 3 is in January, 2015 because I'm having Logan and Tate withdrawals...LOL!  Loved both books, thank you !!!

If you read TRY (book #1 of this series) you are ready for the next stage of this erotic love affair. (If you have not read TRY ... STOP reading this review and go read it NOW!).

Tate and Logan have had their romp and as we found out in book #1, they were shocked to find this was not just about sex. Their attraction is more than a one-night-stand and there is more at stake here than meets the eye. Both are willing to "try" and see where this leads them, maybe even to the forbidden word... relationship.

As I read TRY and now TAKE, I discovered what I "knew" to be true but had not really felt it illuminate me - love is love regardless of gender mix. Yes, I was always tolerant of M/M etc. relationships, but did not really understand to what degree love is the same for all couples. We love a partner that fulfills, encourages, instills pride, and takes our breath away. Gender does not matter, it is the connection we feel for each other that matters. In addition, what is most important in a successful relationship is trust. That is the crux of this book. Logan and Tate have to build this trust in each other in order for them to get closer and leave the past behind.

Did you ever wonder what the impact would be on those around this couple? How will their families react? Their business associates? Acceptance is a word used and flaunted every day, but what does it take to really accept the intimate relationship of two men in our society? Not everyone is open-minded and some would go as far as call it a perversion. How will our couple survive in a society full of mixed reactions? The only way I can think of is by hanging on to each other, loving each other and trusting each other. This is what our story is about.

Ella Frank, I bow to your genius! I was blown away with your first book in this series. I never thought you would do it to me again. I must admit you got me 100%, again! Through the genius of your writing, you have given us an emotional, sentimental, amusing and most definitely heart-wrenching erotic story that will not be soon forgotten. I keep hoping for more books in this series. Maybe one more for the road?

    ~ *spoiler-free* ~

I love these guys so much.

Logan and Tate's relationship is evolving, and the pacing of the second installment in the Temptation series is just perfect. I love that TRY & TAKE show us the first few weeks and months of their romance (I'd say courtship, but that sounds like something you'd say talking about Little Women) because isn't that always the most exhilarating part? Feeling the butterflies and nervousness, getting to know someone physically and emotionally, wondering what the other is really thinking...it's a time of insecurity, excitement and tremendous growth. The steam factor from TRY is definitely present (hello, it's Ella Frank and don't forget it's an m/m erotic romance. As Sylvia Day says, "Erotic Romance: stories written about the development of a romantic relationship through sexual interaction. The sex is an inherent part of the story, character growth, and relationship development, and couldn’t be removed without damaging the storyline."). Just thought I'd put that little reminder on there so you know what you're getting into.

But more than anything, TAKE peels away the layers of both men, leaving them vulnerable, open, and, dare I say, more captivating than ever. I can't wait for you all to fall in love with them too. <3

Tate Morrison and Logan Mitchell couldn’t be more dysfunctional together. However Ella Frank does something very unique with book two in the Temptation series. She takes two very strongly defined men and gives them something else to live for. At first, I wasn’t sure how I was going to work since they have more quarrelling more than chemistry but damnit, Frank somehow made it happen and not only that; she did it in a very fun and entertaining way!

As Tate and Logan navigate through these unknown areas, readers get a deep sense of their troubles and conflict. Having never experienced such intense attraction before, this is all new for them and the risks they will take are all the more nerve-wracking because of it.

But the real reason why I came to enjoy this book so much is that Frank writes beautiful chemistry between these two characters. At first, I didn’t like Logan in the first book. His actions on his own are jerkish, but I like the reaction he’s able to get out of Tate. So while that irked me in the beginning, I learned to love them as a unit in the end. This is why I’m rooting so hard for these men and cannot wait for the next book to come out!

Just as I suspected, the author took us into the next phase of Tate and Logan’s relationship and OMG it was emotionally charged and intense at times. She did a fabulous job at showing us the acceptance they both given the situation and the courage to admit to the world of their relationship. We also saw a transition of the student becoming the leader and I was amazed at that. To see Tate come out of his shell and stand up to take command of the relationship was brilliant and encouraging. Logan’s love for Tate is what I truly believe gave him the trust and ability to let go and allow Tate to lead them many times. So for me the two words that sum up this book are trust and acceptance.
Tate wasn’t given the chance to tell his family in his own way about his love for Logan. His family refuses to detach from his soon to be ex-wife and she along with his sister forced his hand. To say his family wasn’t accepting would be an understatement. The time had come for Tate to make the choice, his family or Logan. It was painful to watch his turmoil as he tried to come to terms with his choice. You have to remember he is being asked to trust this man he met a few weeks ago and was known for his playboy ways. Not to mention he is still coming to terms that he is in a homosexual relationship. So much for Tate to take in and deal with all at once but he only hoped he wasn’t going to be alone.
During this book Logan also made some major transitions as well. We get to find out about his past and why he was the man he is today. When faced with a decision he is going to have to weigh the options of putting Tate in an uncomfortable situation or risk rejection. After finding out what has caused his fears, it is easy to see why he worries so much about pushing Tate too fast. When they go to game night, not only is it one of the best scenes in the book, it also is a wakeup call for Logan and now that he has seen the truth, he has to decide what he is going to do about it.
Just when you think those two have had enough, a blast from the past shows up and begins to turn things over once again. The ending was a cliff hanger of sorts, not the kind that you want to throw your kindle across the room, but it does leave you wanting more. I really love how this author is taking our two men through the process so slowly yet with an abundance of love and challenges. She is giving us a real inside view of people who face these choices every day and after reading Logan and Tate’s story I am not sure you will ever be able to say love isn’t worth it again.
I will be looking forward to the next installment of their story; I need to see how they handle the past burden that has now surfaced.

I'm going crazy that it ended so abruptly, but I loved it! While, for me, Tate and Logan are no Ty and Zane, this was still a pretty steamy read and a bit of an emotional roller coaster. Would highly recommend!

    OMG

I read this not knowing there was a book 1. I was so engrossed in Tate and Logans story that I've since read Try which is book 1. I LOVED both books and now I'm salivating for a 3rd! Ella Frank can write one hell of a story! I didn't want it to be over. Sexy dirty and hilarious at times. I laughed out loud ! Logan is freaking filthy and I LOVE it. Tate holds his own with him which makes them perfect together.

Whew! I'm still fanning myself and trying to catch my breath after this one. Ella Frank is an absolute master in the art of sexy storytelling. I am a straight, married woman and this series is the hottest I've ever read, if that tells you anything.

Try was my first experience with a M/M romance, and going into it, I had no idea what to expect. I completely fell in love with Logan and Tate, and I was beyond anxious to get more of them in Take. Ella did not disappoint!

The boys are back and they're just as sexy, filthy, and heart-stoppingly gorgeous as ever. But the absolute beauty of this book is in the relationship that they're beginning to form.  You can't help but fall in love right alongside them.  But just as much as you feel the sweet gooeyness of a budding relationship, you feel their pain as they experience new hardships, both together and because of each other.

My very best friend in the whole world is gay, so I think I felt Tate's pain and struggle a lot more deeply than I otherwise would have.  It was very emotional to experience those things through this book as so many of them paralleled my friend's own life story.

Ella's talent is simply stunning.  Often times if you read a book that is as erotic as one of her's, there's not much in the way of a story to it, and vice versa.  But Ella can write one hell of a story.  She sucks you in, makes you fall in love with her characters, keeps you intrigued from start to finish, and can simultaneously make you so hot that you need to stick your head in the freezer just to cool off.  Repeatedly!  It astounds and floors me every single time.

If you fell in love like I did with Try, then you absolutely must read Take.  And if you haven't read Try yet, you are sorely missing out!  If you haven't read any of Ella's books yet, to that I have to ask: What the hell are you waiting for?!  Let's remedy that now, yes?

    Glad that's settled.

Love is love.  There is no difference.

I don't know that anything I can say will really do this book en

I don't know that anything I can say will really do this book enough justice, but I'm going to try. (grin) Ella Frank has taken two characters and made me fall absolutely head over heels in love with them, and the Temptation series is so beautifully written that I challenge you to not do the same.

We were left off in Try with the lustful relationship between Tate and Logan coming to light when Tate's ex and sister walk in on an intensely heated moment between the two. Now they each have to come to terms with their budding relationship and see where they are heading, but they also have a lot to overcome emotionally and not everyone is as accepting of their relationship as they should.

I loved the real struggle that these two have, and the natural emotions swirling through them both. Logan has never had nor desired love, or so he thinks, and he is fighting with himself in allowing Tate to break down his carefully constructed walls around his heart. Tate on the other hand, is not only struggling with his new found feelings for another man, but his family is providing to be a huge obstacle for him as well. When he has always thought that had their unquestionable love and support, he is devastated to find that it does have its limitations.

Take is filled with complex emotions weaved in with the achingly sexy moments that these two share, and this all definitely combined to create one hell of a great read in my honest opinion. I don't know that I've ever connected with two characters more than I have with these two, and hands down Ella did a fantastic job with this follow up to Try. Now I will caution that we are left with a slight cliffhanger, but please don't let that deter you. I promise that it is done in a way that just leaves you wanting more, and not in a way that makes you want to scream. Seriously...I promise! If you haven't read the Temptation series, then it is definitely one I would suggest to everyone. Go on...give it a try and I promise you will enjoy it!

Omg, this book is off the chart!!!!  i love Tate and Logan... their relationship is so awesome.  I didn't know what to make
of this story since i've never read M/M erotica book before and boy, did it blow my mind.  For one, I LOVE their character,
both that is because to be honest, most of the time I always have a problem with the female character in your typical
erotica/love story book.  Its not that I don't like the female characters its just that sometimes I find their strength lacking
or make them out to be weak by the alpha male because their dominant and have power/money.  In this story, while
Logan may have money, both characters are strong and dominant in their own ways.  I love the banter between them and find Logan hilarious! Most of all, I love seeing their struggles and how they cope with each others issues.  Their is real honesty and respect in their relationship and I just love it! These two are one of my favorite couples and I have to say, my gosh, that sex scene is hella sexy. I can't wait to read more about these two.  There is a book three right????

TRY was my favorite book of 2013. I read it no less than 6 times

TRY was my favorite book of 2013. I read it no less than 6 times--no really SIX!!!! I love Logan and Tate. All the stereotypes of crazy readers, I was that person. And waiting for TAKE seemed interminable to this crazy reader. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. TRY was all about the men meeting, and Logan getting Tate to TRY something new. TRY was about the men having hot steamy sex, and learning about each other. It also was about learning about Logan, how mouthy he could be, what he was willing to do or say to get what he wanted from Tate.

So, with TAKE I wasn't sure what expect. I knew there would be hot steamy sex, because, well, it's Logan and Tate, and those men are seriously HAWT together. Ms. Frank wrote this book beginning right where TRY left off, and you find the men beginning to find a relationship with each other, despite the obstacles ahead of them. And there are some pretty heavy obstacles. Finding their way together becomes challenging, as they try to figure out what their relationship is, and how to TAKE what they need from it. It was also Tate's turn in this book. He was able to realize that this was what he wanted, and he was willing to TAKE charge and go for it, leaving Logan slightly confused, but game for whatever was ahead.

I will say this book put me through many emotions, as I think it was intended to. I felt surprise, joy, sadness, extreme anger, and shed quite a few tears. And the ending, well, you will love it, and you will be screaming (as I was!) ELLA FRANK, HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME!!!! But in the end, you will be happy to know that our boys find their way with each other. Oh, and they still continue to have some seriously hot steamy sex. The cover, by the way....you will LOVE that scene!!!! You will be able to see that scene come to fruition before your very eyes, and it is all worth it.

This book earned 5 stars from me. But for very different reasons than TRY (which was also 5 stars, if you couldn't tell by my many re-reads). TRY was all about the men meeting, and convincing Tate to give this a chance. TAKE was about emotions and the reality that happens when you can't control circumstances around you. It's a roller coaster ride, and I loved every single minute of it. I got off the ride, and am already ready to get back on the ride and go again! Well done Ella, well done!
