The Classic Christmas Album

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Legacy's 2012 release The Classic Christmas Album rounds up 16 selections from the various holiday albums Barry Manilow recorded for Arista over the years. There were three sets -- 1990's Because It's Christmas, 2002's A Christmas Gift of Love, 2007's In the Swing of Christmas -- and this samples all three fairly evenly. There may be some shifts in mood but it's subtle, and the entirety of this collection delivers the kind of smooth, swinging cheer fans expect from Manilow.
