    Impressive!

Gameplay: Its all about the planning and preparation and proper allocation of resources, as the actual battle scenes are not controlled by the player (but they're plenty fun to watch). The idea is that your tiny band of customized warriors is in a ten team league, and each month you fight a new team. And the end of the nine-fight season, the highest ranking team gets to take on the King. Meanwhile, in between your monthly fights, you can elect to upgrade (train) your warriors, draft new warriors, or even take on some quests to earn extra money. As the season progresses, you take over the various towns on the map by force so that you end up with a very large income each month. Attention must be paid to your roster of warriors so that their combined salaries do not exceed your monthly income.
Music: The royal soundtrack is quite rousing but repetitive, and it isnt at all annoying, and it doesn't really jar the senses in any adverse way or get in the way of gameplay.
Graphics: Cute, cartoonish, and well rendered little people, and the gameplay never seems to challenge the Nook's graphics hardware (it doesnt get choppy).
Repeat gameplay value: Not very high, I'm afraid. I beat the game in about two hours, and I havent really felt much of an urge to play it again, although if I did start a new game, its certainly fun enough to make me stick it out and keep playing it until I beat the King again.
SPOILER: To beat the game very quickly, make sure you always go get the "special" characters that are rumored to be in different areas (town, forest, etc.) as you progress. These characters will have special abilities scores that become extraordinarily high with simple upgrades. Once you have a "special" mage, knight, and archer, you'll win the league for sure. I finished with 4 wins and 5 losses in my first season without any special characters, and then in the second season I decided to get three of the "special" characters and easily went 9-0 and whipped the king.

Not really a RPG or a Strategy game.

In a nut shell, you click on one of your units and wait for a bar to be filled. Rise and repeat. After a few minutes of filling bars, you click a button to fight. And by fighting i mean wait for a bar to fill. After that, you can fill more bars.

    Incredibly fun!

I love this game. Nice to see more strategy and rpg based stuff on the nook. I cant wait to explore the diffwrent troop combinations. My knight and archers are already wiping out the competetion.

This game is awesome! It is cool how you can be a knight, swordsman, archer, wizard or priest. When you get craig, whitney, bowen, lazaro, and espino, you are unbeatable. This game is not an online app. You dont have to interact with others.

    Low replay

Once you figure it out, there is little reason to play again. Maybe 3 hours worth of play. Also a couple of repeatable, show stopping bugs.

This one of my favorite games when it comes to killing time. It has elements that I have never seen in any app ever, making it enjoyably unique.
First of all, the music is classic to fit the mood of a medieval conquering quest. It fits the other elements of the game great by being childishly heroic. Music: 5 stars
The fight scenes when your forces battle anothers are overall pleasing. The characters do their job in a manner fitfor kids, and their design is actually somewhat cute. However, I wish there was a little more variety to what happens in the fight, rather than just watching your units fight with no way to help, interveen, or control units. Battle scenes: 3.5 stars
Now, on to the map, training, and recruiting menu. First of all, the map lacks the detail that most maps have to make them enjoyable to see. It would have been so much better if the made the sea blue, or the land green and brown, or ANYTHING rather than just plain old white. The recruiting and training, however, are good aspects. They take time, allowing you to do other things, and when they are done, you get to see generally pleasing results. I also enjoy the fact that you get to pick which training regime you want your unit to do, and you also get to see the stat increases each training way provides--a clever touch. Main screen: 3.5 stars
The plot and overall objective of the game is simple enough to understand, yet challenging and engaging enough to be fun. You basically recruit units, and you compete against other armies to see who is worthy enough to challenge the king. If you are, you fight him to take the throne. If not, you go back to training and await the next challenging season. It's fun, simple, engaging, and just the way an app should be.
    Objective: 4.5 stars
The special little doohickies that you do during the seasons are overall a disappointment. The quests are always the same according to the difficulty level, and there is nothing else to do on the side besides them. And something I like about most games is the special things to do after beating the main objective. In this app, there is none. All you can do is go back to right before you challenge the king or start a new game. Disappointing. Special bonus objectives : 2 stars
Now I review one the most important things I look for in an app, if not THE most: replay value. Thia game does not disappoint. I always find myself with a new strategy to use, and I'm never disappointed when I redo it. Sure, it CAN get a lttle old after a while, but not for a really long while. I personally find this game fun to do over and over again when I don't have anything to do. Replay value: 5 stars
Overall, I enjoy this app, ans I think you will too. I hope this review has helped you!

    Frustrated

Ends way to fast once you beat king it just ends you dnt get anything except a rating of how good you did and slap in the face have to either new game or go back to right before you face the king no gameplay as king wich would be amazing and needs more options and yes should have a thing like final fantasy like one person said in fights and needs more characters and more special characters
