Overview

The Last Degree: Thriller, Paranormal, Conspiracy, End of Days, Secret Societies

The Last Degree is a fictional account of how the New World Order plays out in modern day.

Freemason Supreme Council members accelerate their plans for a one world government. They believe their 'Shining One' will soon be revealed as the figurehead of the globalized world.

Rory Schanck, the ultimate insider, sabotages the Supreme Council's progress. Once discovered, he's found dead in an alleyway. He leaves his sister a stolen fortune and book of ancient prophecy. Feeling threatened, she opts for underground living.

Chicago Detective Dan O'Leary almost solves the Schanck homicide, but is forced to resign. Instead of living a quiet retirement, he begins a new career as a survivalist compound specialist. Like his clients, he prepares for a global takeover.

James Martin, an eccentric hermit, is reluctantly used as God's mouthpiece. He and his compound are trained by Dan to fight off New World Order.

The world is divided into ten regions. A shadow government emerges, dictating new laws and eradicating their opposition.

Headlines such as the Norway massacre, the meltdown of the European Union, unscrupulous media, animal die-offs, Middle Eastern unrest, and the United States' shrinking power make the plot relevant to present day. This book is an ode to Birthers, 2012ers, Truthers, Tribulationists, and other conspiracy junkies who enjoy Dan Brown, Jesse Ventura, Brad Meltzer, Glenn Beck, Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye.

The Last Degree by Dina Rae Paranoid tale about conspiracy, New World Order, secret societies, and End of Days

The Last Degree is a fictionalized account of modern-day Freemasons, the rise of a savior, and New World Order.

Freemasons and other secret societies accelerate their plans for a one world government. They believe their ‘Shining One’ will soon emerge as the figurehead of the globalized world.
Rory Schanck, the ultimate insider, tries to sabotage one world government plans. Once discovered, he winds up murdered, but his secrets survive. Eileen Schanck, his sister, has possession of century-old New World Order plans. Feeling threatened, she opts for underground living.
Chicago Detective Dan O'Leary gets too close to solving the Schanck homicide. After being set-up, he is forced to resign. Instead of living out a quiet retirement, he begins a new career as a survivalist compound specialist. Like his clients, he prepares for a global takeover.
James Martin, an eccentric, wealthy, recovering drug-addict, is reluctantly used as God’s mouthpiece. He and his staff unite with Dan and his other clients to fight off New World Order.
The world forms ten kingdoms after all nations’ boundaries dissolve. Those running the globalized world plan to eradicate their opposition.
Headlines such as the Norway massacre, the meltdown of the European Union, unscrupulous media, animal die-offs, Middle Eastern unrest, and U.S. shrinking power make the plot relevant to present day. This book is a testament to the paranoid mind and will appeal to fans of Dan Brown, Jesse Ventura, Glenn Beck, Jack Van Impe, Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye.

*SPOILER ALERT* *DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS*

Conspiracy buffs awaiting the next Dan Brown novel can stop holding their breath, Dina Rae has provided what you need in The Last Degree.

This book follows an extremely intricate plot full of agendas and struggles for world domination. As is indicated by the front cover image of the Masonic Blue Lodge ring, this book primarily focuses on the conspiracy of the Freemasons, specifically 33rd degree Scottish Rite masons, to attain control of the world through all means necessary, including murder, political intrigue and satanism.

Preppers Unite! One of the major characters in the book is a prepper and has built an entire compound with...nope, not telling...read it yourself! Dina Rae did some very good research and put together what some preppers might call "Prepperl
All in all I recommend this book to anyone out there that enjoys Dan Brown or the "conspiracy" genre in general, you will not be disappointed!

Ahh. Where to start?? This book is definitely something else, that's for sure. This book not only jumps from different POV's but also from different times, so you get a kind of whiplash jumping from the past, to the present, to deeper into the past and then back to the present. It's quite tiresome. To get down to the point, this book delves into conspiracy theories, free masonry, the Illuminati and religion. I for one don't care much for conspiracy theories and would rather not buy into that stuff, but reading this book kinda flashed some light on that. You know how you read fictional books and you wish they were real, but you know they're not? You have a strong hold onto reality, right? Well, this book, I feel like that line for me is blurred. I can't help but acknowledge that maybe the Illuminati and all this New World Order stuff is real and it sorta freaked me out to the point where I really considered DNFing this book. But, I stuck with it and finished it. It was interesting, I'll give you that, interesting enough for me to finish the book.

I didn't like the book, because I didn't agree with a lot of what was happening. Blame it on my upbringing, but while reading this book I couldn't help but include my morals in my thought process with some of the actions of the characters. Also, the jumping around from POV's and time frames, again, it was tiring. I'm usually really good about reading books with multiple POV's, but this one was just too much, I felt like I was playing a game of tag and I could never catch up *sigh* Now, I didn't completely dislike this book, it had it's up points as well. One of those being the characters, aside from the crazy things that happened in this book, the characters were well developed and so danged believable. Another thing I liked about this book was that it balanced all the conspiracy mumbo jumbo with religion. I'd rather not read a book with any kind of religion stuff in it, but I was thankful for that in this book. I felt that after reading about devil worshiping, a little faith definitely got me through to finishing this book.

I've been on the fence about recommending this book since I got far enough into it to develop thoughts. I wouldn't recommend this book if you're totally against reading anything having to do with free masonry, Illuminati and all that jazz. However, if you're into that kinda thing, jump right on it. Aside from that, this book is well written and definitely kept me reading despite my wanting to DNF'ing it.

Thought Provoking & Entertaining! Once again Dina Rae takes

Thought Provoking & Entertaining! Once again Dina Rae takes us on a
journey starting with a murder mystery that leads into ties with the
Scottish Rite Freemason’s promoting the New World Order ideology. With
the combined theories from the secret societies such Military cartels
determined to stop the New World Order, Religious Fanatics who hang on
Revelations theory about the “Shinning One” or as most Christians belief
of the Anti-Christ and the end of time second coming teachings along
with the “Mark of the Beast” – the story makes for one fantastic read
that will have you glued to the pages and hanging on the edge of your
seat as the story’s mystery comes to a climax. I have to say that I
really enjoyed this book, it was very thought provoking to me and though
I am not a Truther, a brained washed religious fanatic, or even in a
military gang, it definitely gave me pause at how close to home some of
the events described in the book were so much like our own real world
situations we are experiencing in our current day 2012. So depending on
your political views, your religious views, your military views, or your
just don’t care attitude will depend on how this book will affect you.
Either way, the emotion you gain after reading this story just proves
how captivating the brilliant writing skills are that this author has
weaved through out this amazing story as the action and events come
alive upon the page. The characters were captured beautiful showing the
different sides of feelings from each party. There is no romance in
this story but maybe just the possibility of a start of a relationship
in the military cartel. Over All – Excellent read and brilliant
writing. I will say this however, this book needs to be made into a
movie – Move over Dan Brown, there’s a new author in town – LOL (I
didn’t say that to be mean – I was teasing, I love Dan Brown’s work) On
a personal note – meaning my own opinion about the events described in
the book compared to the events happening right now (2012 and an
election year). 1. New World Order – secret societies exist, most of
us know them as terrorist groups, socialized countries, and dictatorship
countries. 2. Mark of the Beast – Use of a computer chip for finding our
pets or even our children is now being used. 3. Election of the right
president - Current election of the right one to recover our democratic
world from turning into a socialized economy – right now our government
is getting to big in my opinion and we as a people are losing our
rights. I am a independent and would probably be one of those ones who
join a military cartel to stop a socialistic or dictatorship ruling.
Also known as rebels. 4. Nuclear War – Right now Iran is our country’s
biggest threat. North Korea is a threat too. 5. Annex of Mexico – Right
now that is our current president’s agenda by giving amnesty to all the
illegal aliens a free entry to our country. 6. Shinning One –
Christian beliefs today feel the end of times is upon us – actually most
felt this way 4 years ago at the election of our current president and
believe he is the son of perdition. Personally I don’t believe he is
the Anti-Christ but believe he is a part of the New world order with his
socialistic agenda regardless of what color he is. I believe there is a
higher power but do not believe in any church teachings especially ones
who teach hatred towards others. 7. Conspiracy Theories – Truthers
believe 911 didn’t happen and it was all fake. LMAO! Now that was a
cool trick, please share with me that magic. 8. Black Magic – The black
arts have always existed but if there is ever going to be any paranormal
event, I wish they’d hurry up and reveal themselves and share their
secret. 9. Power of the Shinning one – who knows, if we have another
earth quake and knocks our planet off its axes again we just might all
inherit some magic powers. 10. Murder – In general, there will all ways
be killings, jealousy, greed, power, and hatred will always exist.
Finally – whether you are religious or not, we are all going to die
somehow and some way so make your life count for the good. I believe in
good Karma – what goes around comes around, however there is a thin line
between the dark side and light side so try to make the right choice
when it comes to surviving this crazy world we live in.
