When she meets Alexandre Chevalier, a young French, Internet success story, she's stunned by his charm, beauty and sophistication, and startled by her strong feelings and desire for a man fifteen years her junior.

His looks, wealth and worldwide triumph with his social media site, HookedUp, means this powerful billionaire can get any woman he chooses, but there is something about Pearl he finds irresistible...

The couple begins a passionate affair and Pearl's body is awakened in ways she never imagined possible. She is consumed by him and his magical touch. But jealous family members, Pearl's insecurities and other external forces are threatening to pull them apart.

This three-book series, Forty Shades of Pearl, Shadows of Pearl and Shimmers of Pearl follow the couple's tumultuous and heart-rending relationship.

Will Pearl's shadowy past and Alexandre's dark secrets meld them together as one, or split them apart once and for all?

This was an overall good trilogy. I must agree that book 3 wan't as good as the first 2, but i enjoyed the complete story. I enjoyed these characters, flaws and all! There was good intense chemistry between pearl & alexandre, & mystery along with the will they/won't they. I really liked the bits of POV of other characters & interview at the end of book 3. Well worth the read!

I read this entire trilogy in less than 3 days....probably because I skipped at least 200 pages. I found it to be quite boring. The Stark Trilogy is much better.

Omigah! I can't believe I forgot to include this wonderful trilogy into my book reviews!! "The Pearl Trilogy" gives women in their forties (as well as any group age) who've lost all hope in finding love some light.  It doesn't matter what age you are, you can still  attain a great catch like sexy French business mogul, Alexandre Chevalier.  I loved the dynamics between Pearl and Alexandre since they are so different as night and day.  Pearl is so posh and reserved whereas Alexandre is mature for his age but is also very dominant and alpha male when it comes to Pearl. Reading this, I thought the big nemesis was this one person but in the end it was another.  I figured with Pearl's presence in Alexandre's life that there would cause tensions and jealousies but by book three I never figured that Alexandre's past love could be so complicated.  I literally wanted to slap Laura (who is she? well, you have to read to find out!). As for the plot and it's pacing:  everything well flowed and was great. My main complaint was how the situation with the antagonist was solved.  I mean, be reasonable.  I can't see that happening so that our heroine's can have their happily ever after.  To me, that was a bit unethical and sloppy. BUT, other than that no further complaints!! Gah, I want to read "Pearl, Alexandre's Story" so bad now!!  I love him!! He's one of my book boyfriends. Hehe. <3

This was a wonderful read! Pearl (the heroine) falls in love with a much younger man, Alexandre. This is an erotic and emotional love affair. The passion sets these pages on fire! As their love evolves, Pearl's love is tested. She has been through so much in this relationship with Alexandre ... who can she trust? Who is not lying? Who is really trying to hurt her? How can she get their relationship back on track? I loved how the author worked out the plot line. Start early in the day... you will not want to put them down until the end. Stock up on snacks and drinks. You will not want to stop and cook! Arianne Richmonde, you do not disappoint your readers! Another hurrah for you!

OMG! Finally finished this crazy, emotionally charged, beautiful trilogy. I absolutely could not put it down. Just buy it and start reading it NOW. ... This trilogy has gone to my top 5 of my Fave Books list. Sorry, Gideon. You have been replaced by a sexy Frenchman by the name of Alexandre Chevalier. It was worth all the anxiety and frustration (yes,I wanted to throw my book at the wall a few times) as I read all the drama that they went through and the vast array of emotions they experienced. I loved reading about a 40 year old woman (enough with the young, virginal heroines already) and her thoughts as she went through trials and tribulations later in life. Yes, GIRL POWER ; ) I usually don't like younger men but this book would make me become a freakin' cougar if I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Chevalier. Holy Hotness!!! What are you waiting for???!! Start reading already!!!

Arianne Richmond has definitely struck gold on this trilogy. They reach out and grab your attention from start to finish with a massive cliff hanger in between. Ms Richmonde has you laughing, crying and in absolute shock throughout each book with characters who jump off the page. You first meet 40 year old divorcee Pearl who feels the only kind of success she has is that of her professional life. When first setting eyes on Alexandre Chevalier and Sophie Dumas (brother and sister) while in a coffee shop Pearl is automatically attracted not realising until she begins to speak to him that these are the duo she was meant to interview. Book 1 goes on into detail of there dating with Pearl being whisked of her feet literally. It also leaves you beginning to feel a little bitter towards Sophie feeling she is an extremely annoying sister who likes to get her penny worth in. By the time you delve deep into shadow of pearl (book 2) you feel Sophie is a very calculated women who will do anything in her power to break Pearl and Alexandre apart. Throughout this book you get to know Alexandre's ex Laura who you feel a little sorry for although I will not give you the reason behind this. As this book comes to a close you are left feeling extremely angry, frustrated and most of all in shock. By the time you reach Shimmers of Pearl which brings the trilogy to a close you have everything rooting for this couple to have the happy ending they deserve. You may also feel you have been on a rollercoaster ride with each character. Arianne Richmonde has really excelled in making a french man very attractive and also making each character come alive. These books are an amazing read which will capture your attention from start to finish. I only hope you enjoy as much as I did.

I really enjoyed these books. The characters are believable and there is a good story. Pearl is a very like-able character and you just want to keep reading to find out what happens. It is a fun read and mixes romance, sex and humor which makes for a very enjoyable read.  I have recommended these stories to a friend who has just started to read them and loves them too  I look forward to reading more from Arianne! .

All three full-length novels in the trilogy, Forty Shades of Pearl, Shadows of Pearl and Shimmers of Pearl are beautifully written. Excellent writing with lots of fabulous descriptive passages. These books are a great mixture of romance and eroticism with an exciting plot. They are different from other books out there in that the heroine is not your typical 23 year old virgin type and the hero is not the psychotic type but sophisticated. Great dialogue and a fun read.

The first book kept my interest but it was downhill from there. I thought the writing was juvenile and Pearl acted like a 14 year old instead of a established career woman. I was also dismayed that the grammar was so bad. Doesnt someone edit these before they are released? I already archieved and wont be reading it again.
