The Second Wife by Kishan Paul was not what I expected. Wow this book will stick with you forever. Ally was kidnapped and abused, which made me cry, so make sure you have tissue when you are reading. It is so gripping you will not be able to put it down. I am so looking forward to more books by Kishan Paul. This is a must read, don't let this book get away. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What an incredibly spectacular book. The Second Wife is a heart wrenching, raw and amazingly written book. From the first page I was mesmerized with Ali, who is one incredibly strong willed women. Abducted by a killer/terrorist . Ali was assaulted, battered, bruise, demoralized and still remained so incredibly brave. Two years plus later Ali's husband David still is looking for her and will move heaven and earth to get her back. This is one of the most powerful stories that I have ever read. It made me feel so much emotion in one book. This is an incredible book and these events similar to or like this story are still occurring today. Kishan Paul has written a masterpiece here!!!

Woah! This is intense!! This book is about a tough subject and written perfectly for you to understand and 'feel' the harsh reality of it! Alley is no longer herself, not only in name, but a totally changed person during her ordeal.. Ms. Kishan was a new-to-me author and has now become one of my favorites. She put a LOT of heart into this book, pouring it out among the pages.. LOVED it and looking forward to reading more from this author! I was gifted an ARC of this ebook from My Family's Heart on behalf of the author in exchange for my honest review. Opinions in this review are my own.

The Second Wife by Kishan Paul is an amazing read. Reading The Second Wife is like tiptoeing through an emotional mine field. Between being abducted, beaten and raped to not knowing if your wife is alive, it's a hard read, but on the other hand, I couldn't stop reading to find out what happens next. Ms Paul has delivered a well written book. Alisha and Dave's story is loaded with suspense, action and drama. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author in the future. The Second Wife is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

The Second Wife is not for those faint hearted reader. This book was taking the topic of all dark side of humanity. Or you might say inhuman. Rape, death, terror and lust are combined expertly in this good book. I can't imagine the horror in the time Alisha was abducted and raped. It left me truly upset with what was happening. I can't bear the thought of those girls that have to experience it. David had a rough life after Alisha was gone. Her abduction had shattered his whole world. They just resolved the roughest patch in their relationship just to discover that she was ripped away from him ruthlessly. Alisha tried to survive what was left of her and when she was shown that David had moved on from his life, she stopped trying. If killing her abductor is the last thing she is going to do, she will do it. Her life changed a lot and she is now a shell of her old self. She found a family in the middle of Pakistan and they are the only thing she held on to. The only thing lacking is that I wish to know more about the depth of David and Alisha's relationship. I recommend this book to people who love suspense and dark story. Rating: 3.5 stars I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
