Why oh why did I wait so long to read this collection?! I've had it for several months now and decided to jump at the chance to review it for a tour. This story is a refreshing change from the usual YA paranormal novels out today. Don't get me wrong, I love my YA books, but this was fantastic. I find that some YA novels feel a little "too old" for younger teens. This book is perfect for teens of all ages and adults alike.
The story begins with Chloe's mother being murdered by a bunch of vamps. She's thrown into a world of vampires and hunters. Her mother hid her from her father, a vampire, for her entire life. Starting her life over with the hunters has been quite a challenge for her. Chloe moves in with her grandfather she didn't know and another trainer named Drew. Training doesn't come easy to her and she starts to develop special powers. Her father tries sending more vampires to take Chloe again. I'll stop there as to not spoil the story.
This was my first time reading a serial novel. I'd have to say that I enjoyed it immensely. If I were to read these parts separately and had to wait for the next, I would be out of my mind. Chloe wasn't an annoying little teenage girl. She had this spunk and defiance to her and I loved it. Chloe eventually polishes some of her skills and powers. There was a little bit of romance but it was appropriate. I was intrigued even more after ever part of the collection but felt like there were a few things missing. I was very excited to learn that there will be another series featuring Chloe. I'm super excited to read more about her and hopefully get some resolve with my unanswered questions.

I'd read VHD part one a while back, but re-read alongside the rest of this whole wonderful collection. The 'parts' simply go from strength to strength and completely work as a whole read. I much preferred it this way.
The author, Jennifer Malone Wright, captures Chloe's character beautifully. She's a character that I believed in and had empathy for. Her character development alongside her character's journey is well crafted and finely tuned to create a strong female protagonist.
I was completely caught unaware by some of the plot development, and applaud Jennifer Malone Wright for having the ability to keep me on my toes. She weaves the character relationships along with the almost palpable action with expertise. The writing flows smoothly with appropriate peaks of tension.
I was left eager to continue Chloe's journey in her new adventure in 'ARCADIA FALLS'. I can not wait to read.

I was given this book in return for an honest review. In this book all 6 of the short stories are combined to create the whole story. Awesome, Chloe is a teenager who finds out she is the child of a vampire hunter and a vampire. She goes to live with her grandfather in the vampire hunter community. She starts training and learning about her history and powers. After an attack on the vampire community, she goes with her father to save Luke. Not so bad at first and she does make some new friends, but it quickly goes downhill. Chloe's escapes with the help of old and new friends and a battle results in someones death. She is still developing new powers and learning how to control powers she already has. A love story is also developing. Back at the vampire community, at Chloe's 16th birthday, a surprise visitor lets them all know that a war is coming and they all will be involved and also clues some of them in on some info they were unaware of. Watch for more, because more is definitely coming and I for one can't wait. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I grabbed the first book as a freebie on my kindle as something to fill in while I was trying to find books to the other series I had been reading. After reading the first book I went strait to Amazon and bought the next one. If I could have bought them all at once I would have. This is a great series that is hard to put down. All other series I had been reading, forgotten until I was able to finish! :)
There is always something going on to keep you pulled in to the story. Love, family drama, action, secrets...something for all. I am not one for telling about the story as you can read the caption for the book above, but I can guarantee that each book will keep you coming back for more!
Save yourself the torment of waiting and buy the Complete Collection I-VI!

The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter
By: Jennifer Wright
When I started reading this book, I was struck by how incredibly easy it was to bond with the characters….
The action from the beginning was amazing and real…. The main character “Chloe Kallistrate” typical teenager abruptly cast into a life unknown to her through tragic circumstances….
Knowing now what her Life’s Destiny and the depth of her heritage is, Chloe has a lot of work to do and the motivation she needs to accomplish what lies ahead…..
I loved how truly well written this novel was….and the way “Author Jennifer Wright” draws you in, keeps your attention and leaves you absolutely wanting more….I just wish that it was a bit longer, sonrisa…. I am anticipating the second one eagerly!!!
A Literary Triumph for “Author Jennifer Wright”!!!

This is a great series for ages 13 and up. I read the first book and purchased the second before realizing I could purchase the whole series in one fell swoop in this collection! I'm looking forward to The Arcadia Falls Chronicles and hope they'll be available soon.
This special edition of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter contains parts I-VI, the complete collection. Fourteen-year-old Chloe witnesses her mother’s murder at the hands of a vampire. Before the vampire can kidnap her, there is an unexpected rescue by a group of vampire hunters. Overwhelmed by the feeling of safety, Chloe passes out and they whisk her away to their small community.
When Chloe wakes, she comes face to face with the only other living relative, besides her mother, whom she has ever met: her grandfather. Chloe’s mother kept her hidden from the family; now, Chloe tries to unveil the family secrets. Through her grandfather, she learns her mother was a vampire hunter. In fact, her entire family is descended from the powerful bloodlines of vampire hunters. Chloe agrees to join the family she has never known for one reason only: Chloe vows to kill the vampire responsible for her mother’s murder.
With vengeance in her soul, Chloe is even more determined to follow through on her vow when she discovers the true identity of her enemy and how he is connected to her.
Experience the world of vampires hunter’s, vampires and mythology with Chloe in this exciting series.

After watching her mother brutally killed before her by creatures she never believed existed, Chloe Kallistrate is sent to live with her grandfather in a community of people who live to destroy those like the monsters who murdered her mother: vampires. Sent by her father to capture her for unknown purposes, they continue to bombard the community with vicious attacks while Chloe trains and learns to accept her heritage as a vampire hunter. But being half hunter and half the creature she lives to destroy comes with some odd talents. As more people are hurt trying to save her from the attacks, she has to make a choice: stay with the only family she has left, or hand herself over to the monster who created her.
I thought that this book was very interesting, especially in the way it was arranged. Six "parts" that are shaped like extremely long chapters make up the collection, each one having a slightly different focus. The entire novel is based in Chloe's perspective, showing how she grows from a clueless girl to an almost trained hunter still coming into her abilities.
I really enjoyed discovering Chloe's heritage and gifts along with her, as well as the way Jennifer Malone Wright was able to integrate some bits of classical mythology while putting her own twist on it. It was wonderful to get to know all of the characters, especially Drew, her grandfather, Luke, and eventually Oscar as well. I felt so bad for a certain green-eyed somebody when we learned about the pain he had to deal with throughout his childhood and was ready to tear the head off of the woman that caused it right along with Chloe.
Most of all, I really appreciated that Chloe's father, Trevor, wasn't painted as a completely soulless monster. Yes, everything he was planning was horrible, but every character should have the chance to tell their story, even if we believe them to be evil.
