First in the Moonbound Series of sexy werewolf romances

There's a new threat in town...

and she's sexier and more dangerous than this sheriff can handle.

Small town sheriff, Allan VonBrandt, would like nothing more than to focus only on his work and not on the leggy and irresistible brunette who won't take no for an answer. But when fate steps in and his inner wolf won't refuse the magick pull she has on him, Allan must confront his animalistic desires--whether he wants to or not.

Reyna DuBois has never met a man--or wolf--she can't tame, but Allan just might be the stubborn exception to the rule. Refusing to give up, Reyna enlists the help of her inner wolf to seduce the ever-reluctant sheriff, promising this particular cowboy the ride of his life.

Nice but predictable, with sex thrown in. Too short, I found myself wondering what happened to them next. And how things went with Aria.

In To Win a Mate we met Jared and Elise and learned that Elise is essentially an unclaimed wolf. She has to family or pack that can claim her. So here in The Werewolf Cowboy we have packs coming together in Somewhere, Texas to try to figure out why Elise was left to her own devices. The story doesn't focus on her though. It focuses on Allan VonBrandt and Reyna Dubois. Allan is a sheriff in the small town of Somewhere and takes his job seriously. a little too seriously as he has become so tightly entwined in the human world to the point of wanting a human wife rather than is fated wolf mate. He is a very private person and doesn't all that much like that pack life means no privacy so he isolates himself. Reyna loves her pack and hides nothing. She is bold and unapologetic and will do anything and everything to get what she wants. And what she wants is Allan. She enjoys making waves and being flamboyant. It irritates Allan to no end since his goal in life is to keep humans safe and that means keeping them from their secret. So Reyna herself wreaks havoc with him alone. After meeting in a bar, because Reyna was tossing humans around, Allan insists on pushing her away and isn't all that nice about it. But like I said, Reyna is bold. She does things to get his attention that no one who truly thought they didn't have a chance would. Even considering becoming who she doesn't want to be. Allan, the pig head, must come to his senses and fully accept the he is a wolf and belongs with another wolf, his mate, not a human. Reyna is just that wolf to pull his head out from where the sun don't shine, but will he do it in time? *I received this as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*

It was very short story at about 90 pages. It started off really good, Allen is the sheriff n hot tuff guy but at the end of the book he turned into a wuss. I liked him better when he was the character at the beginning. The female character was funny n tuff she was kinda likable.. I'm going to try read the second book but if it's like this one I won't be buying anymore from this series...

I liked the story but the books in this series are very short. They are all less than 100 pages. By the time things get interesting, the story is over and then it's on to different characters. My main problem with that is that length is just not long enough to really show any character growth or a full plot development. My other problem is that $4 is too much to pay for a novella (and that is basically what these books are...a series of novellas). Sadly, I will not continue with this series. I think the author has the talent to write full-length stories, hopefully she'll move in that direction.

90 pages. Shifters, sex, Fate. I liked both lead characters. Reyna is persistent and just what Allen needs to see his true path. Good story, will real more by this author.

I didnt think Reyna and Allen were a good match. Reyna was too forward and kind of obnoxious, in my opinion. Very short story. No build up of any kind. I wont be reading any of the other books in this series.

Really didn't care for Reya she was not right for Allen . she came on way to strong and didn't care how Allen felt.

What's a she wolf got to do to get her mate? Rayna felt the pull of the mate call, the first time Allan walked in the bar. Her dream of finding her mate has come true BUT Allan wants nothing to do with her. He is set on a human life with a human mate. Rayna is not having that. What a fun twist to a wolf story. I loved it. Lots of fun and drama. Great read for us shifter fans. Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

WARNING - BOOK CONTAINS RAPE AND VICTIM BLAMING. But it's "okay" and "justified" because the main characters are "fated by destiny." Yes, you're reading that right. If I could give a book less than 0 stars, this one would get it. This is the first book in as long as I can remember that I just didn't finish. When the male main character (I can't bring myself to call him a hero) is just suddenly okay with everything because the sex was good, I lost it. The female main character (DEFINITELY cannot bring myself to call her a heroine) is a whiny, rich, spoiled, self-centered a**hole. Who rapes the male main character. And then justifies it to herself because it's his fault she had to go to such extremes because he keeps rejecting her. Do the authors somehow believe gender excuses rape? It's okay because it wasn't a woman getting raped by a man? To add to all that nonsense...there's no real plot. I was 75% of the way through the book before I stopped reading and there was nothing other than rejection by the male, the rape, the feelings of rejection from the female because even rape "didn't work," and the male "accepting his fate" because the sex was good. That's...not a plot. Where could the authors even go after that?

Though i think a plot like that should have had more twists to the book and should have been longer.

"The Werewolf Cowboy (Moonbound Book 1)" by Krystal Shannon & Camryn Rhys is a paranormal, supernatural, romance that starts of with explaining the Celtic Curse. We then read on and encounter sexy wolf shaper Sheriff Allan VonBrandt who is looking for a mate. Enter Reyna Dubois who is a fighter but also his soul mate. There is quite a bit going on in this story, and it was so good that I didn't want to put it down.

This is obviously the beginning of what will turn out to be a phenomenal series that I cannot wait to read. As with any new series, there are a couple stumbles along the way, characters that we, as readers, may not necessarily click with, etc. Such was the case here. Although I found the story entertaining and the mystery of Elise one I want solved, I could not click with Reyna. Allan is the hunky small town sheriff who for some unknown to us reason decided years ago that he would not be mated to another wolf. He would rather marry a human and live the rest of his life away from pack politics and the like. Reyna is the overbearing, full of herself New Orleans pack enforcer who has decided that Allan's wants and wishes don't matter. They're fated to be mates and whether he likes it or not, it's going to happen. Herein lays my dilemma. I loved the concept of the story. I wished the authors had gone in to Elise's mystery a bit more, but I understand that it could be a story arc in the series. It gives the readers something to follow from one book to the next. My problem was Reyna. She was overbearing, full of herself and her actions put her firmly in the psychopathic stalker category. I would say she's more reminiscent of a sociopath, except that she would have to have been likable to be a sociopath. He outright tells her he does not want her nor does he want to be mated to a wolf, so she breaks in to his house and seduces him. Then has the nerve to be upset and offended when he doesn't jump at mating with her the next morning? This chick is seriously mental. Overall, however, the overall plot and the other characters make up for Reyna's deficiencies as female lead of the story. After reading the story twice, I've decided that I loved every aspect of this book. The sole exception being Reyna's character. So this is definitely a series I will be closely following

I love this book, Allan wants to be human with all the trimmings (wife, kids, job) but what he didn't believe in get the better of him. His true wolf mate turns up and won't take no for a answer. I love her such a strong female character. I love the town Somewhere and wish I could live there too. This ok will take you in and make you fall n love. A must read

Despite being a wolf-shifter, Allan VonBrandt lives like a human and prefers anything but wolf and that includes his future wife. However, Fate has another plan for him. Sheriff Allan walked into a bar to take care of a bar brawl and there he felt the magick, heightening his senses to a stunning, sexy woman. With the magick surrounding them, Reyna knew he was her fated mate but will he be too stubborn to realize? This was a cute, funny and sexy read about Reyna going all out to convince Allan to accept his destiny. It is a great start to a new series and the writing is a lot steamier than Krystal's other books (no complaints there). There was also an underlying serious tone to the story when some dark secrets about some unbonded wolves were revealed. Definitely some mystery there which will be revealed slowly in the subsequent books. ARC provided by the author in exchange for a honest review.

Reyna is awesome! I loved her tough girl attitude and her devotion to claiming what's hers once she's found it.That isn't a very easy thing to do when her mate thinks he belongs more in the human world than in the werewolf world. He's determined to make his life outside the pack and deny his inner-wolf. But Reyna is having none of it. She does anything (and I mean anything) and everything (and I mean everything) to claim him and show him that being a wolf isn't all that bad. Allan VonBrandt is just as stubborn and determined not to meet his fate. Watching these two dance around each other, both determined to have their way, was extremely entertaining. This is a spin-off of the Van Brandt Family series, and it helps to have read them for a little of the backstory on what is bringing all these wolves together. But, you will easily be caught up and these books will still be very enjoyable if you haven't had a chance to read the other series yet. *This book was received in exchange for an honest review*
