This book is about a girl Cass and a fork with the power to turn anything into a beautiful meal every page is a mouthwatering delight read this book!!!!!!!!

Grinding through this book you will encounter more than a chocolate mystery of your own but a different chocolate mystery. While joining Cass and friends for their exciting chocolate adventure you meet many unknown villians along with many other knowns. Looking for the legendary Tuning Fork(shh!)while Cass' mother is swooning her life away with a stranger in a great smelling kitchen of "fish". Many "clown camps" and secrets unknown to a certain person are shared in this search for a "magic weapon". White gloved villians and monkeys block the path for the chocolate adventurers. Gold buckets clink and evil laughs are shared in a "private' room at the "end" of a thriliing chocolate quest. A test tasting girl is finally freed form her misfortune along with gold pucket poop pickers. Though the monkeys still hang, eating up their life, or what is left of it. This search through a chocolate factory.... read it or have your chocolate haunt you forever. Yummy chocolate!

Besides making you crave chocolate, Pseudonymous Bosch (PB) shares another adventure surrounding his characters Cass and Max-Ernest. My daughters love PB's books because of the quirky presentation style and just plain goofy antics. Where else can you pick up a book that writes a chapters with semi-working invisible ink, chapters presented in a mixed order that still allow the reader to follow along, or the writer suspecting the reader of sneaking into their house and poisoning them? PB respects the intelligence of his readers and appreciates the way kids can get into trouble even when trying to do the right thing. These books are a great lesson in how writing can be fun and a good story doesn't always have to serious (exactly what some young reluctant readers and writers need. If for no other reason...there are chocolate recipes in the back of this book (I conquer with the author's favorite).

There's a few surprises in here that you might have not been expecting, and the ending is a cliffhanger (sorry!) but I still loved this book. The whole series is great. It's so imaginative, and the author is very funny. I highly recommend. ^_^

The book "This Book is Not Good for you" is a great book. First you must read the 1st and 2nd books. Anyway it is a really cool book. It is appropriate for all ages. You kind of have to be mature for it though. It is such an interesting book I think I finished it in 2 days......anyway you should really read it it is a great book!!!Hope you like it!

This Book is Not Good for You by Pseudonymous Bosch is an amazing fictional novel! It is set in current day at a zoo; however the location of the zoo remains a mystery throughout the novel. This novel begins when the main characters, Cass, Max Ernest, Yo-Yoji and Cass's mom, Melanie, go to Senor Hugo's restaurant where Cass's mom is kidnapped! Cass must find the tuning fork that has been missing for many years and give it to Senor Hugo in order to get her mom back. During the search for the tuning fork Cass decides to go look at Mrs. Jonson's (the school principal) home and see if she has it. While searching rapidly through Mrs. Jonson's things they discover the tuning fork and make a run for it as they steal her valuable artifact! In the mean time they must find The Midnight Sun, an evil group of people who are present in the first two novels, because Senor Hugo works for them and is holding Melanie in prison. A monkey in the zoo leads them back to where The Midnight Sun is located and there they find Melanie. She is in a crate with other trapped people. After sneaking into the room where Melanie was being held Cass, Max Ernest and Yo-Yoji safely rescue her and get themselves out of the zoo. Cass learns she knows the secret which is why The Midnight sun is after her and her friend's constantly. However she must still figure out what it is, for us to know we must read the next book! This Book is Not Good for You involved many positives and a few negatives. One positive involved the humor the author used. He used humor in many ways, for example at the beginning of the book it starts out with a picture of a door that says "do not enter". Another positive is the appendix at the end of the book. It had cool recipes the characters ate and experiments you can do and even some magic tricks all related to the book! The last positive I have is I like the suspense of The Midnight Sun especially when Cass Max-Ernest and Yo-Yoji go into the strictly off limits territory of Dr. L and Ms. Mauvis's. Some negatives I have for this book are the foot notes, as informative as they are it can get annoying having too look at the bottom of the page all the time. The second negative I have is I wish you could know the setting. Knowing the setting would improve the novel because you could have an idea what the environments looked like and how the characters life style was. Last of all I wish The Midnight Sun was more involved in this book. For example in books one and two the midnight went undercover trying to find Cass, Max Ernest and Yo-Yoji. This would have made the book a little more suspenseful. The novel over all had many more positive aspects then negatives. Pseudonymous Bosch has an extraordinary writing style. Throughout this novel he uses many senses such as tasting when Cass, Max-Ernest Yo-Yoji and Melanie go to Senor Hugo's restaurant. At the restaurant it is in the dark so they can taste the food from a different perspective. The author also has very good word choice, for example the word ascertained which means to make certain. A third writing style I came up with is he is easy to understand. An example is the way his sentences and paragraphs are written. In my opinion Pseudonymous Bosch has an outstanding writing style. I would highly recommend this novel for many reasons. One reason is the way it is written; it is very funny and creative.
