Overview

What she doesn’t want...is exactly what he needs.

Shunned and ridiculed all her life for something she can’t control, Samantha Blair hides her psychic abilities and lives on the fringes of society. Against her will, however, she’s tapped into a killer—or rather, his victims. Each woman’s murder, blow-by-blow, ravages her mind until their death releases her back to her body. Sam knows she must go to the authorities, but will the rugged, no-nonsense detective in charge of tracking down the killer believe her?

Detective Brandt Sutherland only trusts hard evidence, yet Sam’s visions offer clues he needs to catch a killer. The more he learns about her incredible abilities, however, the clearer it becomes that Sam’s visions have put her in the killer’s line of fire. Now Brandt must save her from something he cannot see or understand…and risk losing his heart in the process.

As danger and desire collide, passion raises the stakes in a game Sam and Brandt don’t dare lose.

    ?

I truly despise plot spoilers. Please learn how to write a review. Read the others. They are concise and to the point. They do not go into a cliff note book report telling everything that happens. You do not need to do that. Just state if you liked it or not. End of post. Please stop revealing the entire book. Ppl would like to read it and be surprised by what they read, just like you were.

I LOVED this book! I've never read any of the authors works before and it is safe to say I will be getting my hands on the rest of his works very soon! Tuesday's Child is a well written and engaging book. I was instantly captivated by the main character and her story. I couldn't put it down. The level of detail was amazing! The author showed you what happened without too much telling. I felt as if I were truly there experiencing what Sam was experiencing. (Which was pretty gruesome)
I would HIGHLY recommend this book. It is an absolute must read for me. I don't typically read suspense/ thriller type of books but I will always make an exception when it comes to Dale Mayer.

    Pleasantly Surprised!

I was intrigued, but frankly not hopeful about this book. I couldn't have been more wrong!

So happy I read it; the pace was perfect, Sam was likeable, and the story was interesting.

And now I'm off to pick another from this author...

    Great Read

From beginning to end this book will suck you right into the story line. I loved Sam and Brandt's characters. It was a fast paced read that kept me turning pages to see what happened next. Will definately look for other books by this author. Would even love to see a sequel to Sam and Brandt's relationship continued. Highly Recommended :)

Exciting thriller with a little romance thrown in.

Samantha Blair has had an unbelievably difficult life, and her all-encompassing psychic nightmares do not help. She will wake up covered in blood and exhausted, having just experienced a victim's torment and often death.
There's a serial killer loose on the area, but she can't get the police to view her with anything but suspicion. She finally finds one detective, Brandt Sutherland, who is willing to give her a chance to try and stop a killer, before he can kill her.

    more from this reviewer

Samantha's character grabbed me from the beginning. Struggling

Samantha's character grabbed me from the beginning. Struggling with her psychic abilities, not just mentally, but physically as each victim's wounds manifest on her own body. She fears that the next attack will lead to her death as well. She would do anything to help, and when Detective Sutherland finds out about her abilities a deep secret from her past rears its ugly head.

Detective Sutherland finds Samantha's ability both a god-send and a problem. While he truly believes in psychic abilities, he knows how the public will react if they ever found out that she was helping to solve a serial murder. As the case escalates, and more deaths are uncovered, Sutherland finds himself drawn in an entirely new way to Samantha. He only hopes that he can help her gain some control over her ability before its too late.

The story unfolds quickly and I was caught up in wanting to find out what Samantha was going to do right away. I wasn't nearly as fond of Sutherland. he seemed to be a bit of a stereotype police officer, with the exception of believing in psychics. He was quite the "macho man" and it grated on me a bit at times.

As one of Dale Mayer's first forays into the genre, it was very good story. I have read a few of Mayer's other books (reviews coming shortly), and I see only good and better things to come.

    Review:
5 Stars! Once again I am totally enamored with the tale woven by Dale Mayer.
Samantha Blair is a woman with a past and a terrifying talent. She is a psychic, and has been kicked by her life for as long as she can remember. Even though her life has been filled with turmoil and pain she is still a strong independent woman who wants to live a normal life.
Detective Brandt Sutherland is a strong and stubborn man who is trying to put together a new task force to hunt down a serial killer that has been stalking women across the country for decades. Little does he know that what he needs is hidden under a baggy sweater and behind huge doe-like eyes.
My personal favorite character has to be Maisey. She is Brandt's mother, and is one heck of a fiery senior citizen. When she isn't running betting pools at the nursing homes she is getting into mischief with her "partner in crime" the Colonel.
Note: There is one very well written and sweet romantic scene in the book. Not at all vulgar but very vividly written it does a wonderful job of showing the passion that flows between Sam and Brandt.
Tuesday's Child is a fantastic read. The concept behind the story , and the concept behind Sam's powers is interesting and realistically written. You can really feel her dilemma about talking to people about her gifts. The story flows well and keeps the readers interest from the first page to the last.
Filled with vivid details, endearing characters and a fantastic story I would definitely recommend Tuesday's Child to everyone

    Highly Recommend

I agree with the April 28th reviewer. Please, a few sentences is enough to give everyone an idea if it's a good read or not! I do not even read the long reviews. Books have been spoiled for me that way and they are boring. BUT this is a great suspenseful read and I highly recommend it. JudyE
