Meet the Author

As a frequent writer for Ain't It Cool News and the author of Seagalogy: A Study of the Ass-Kicking Films of Steven Seagal, Vern has gained notoriety for his unorthodox reviewing style and his expertise in "the films of Badass Cinema." His review of the slasher movie Chaos earned him a wrestling challenge from its director; his explosive essay on the PG-13 rating of Live Free or Die Hard prompted Bruce Willis himself to walk barefoot across the broken glass of movie nerd message boards to respond. Guillermo Del Toro, the director of Pan's Labyrinth, called Vern "a national treasure."

Okay, I don't mean to sound vain, or try to take over this RP, or anything, especially to whomever is the threadmaster here. (I tend to be more hands off with nook RPs.) But I was just looking through this RP and i noticed a few things: (1)Threadmaster: Awesome job finding an obsure result to house this RP! That can be hard with nook RPs (2)However: Guys, RPs tend to flow better in 3rd person. First person with asterisks can be hard to follow, particularly to newbies. In fact, asterisks can sometimes sound childish and silly Even experienced players have trouble with interations told in 1st person. (3) OOC (Out of Character/Context) business kid of seems to be dead here. Asking for catch-upa can't hurt and OOCs are really good for conversations outside of the official RP. (4) Spelling and Grammar are HUGE. Always double check your post before you sumbit it, particularly for longer posts. Finally I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers, but you do seem to be a fledgling RP and I hoped I could help. Checking out online RPs can also be really instructive; older RPers tend to gravitate towards those more. I really hope you consider this in the future. Good Luck!
