Hiwot Terefu Bekele (Emu) is an author, entrepreneur, and community advocate based in Boston, Massachusetts. Deeply passionate about storytelling and cultural connection, she creates children's books that nurture kindness, courage, and empathy. Blended Family (Part One) is her second children's book, following her debut, The Magic Mirror (Part One), published in July 2025 in both Amharic and English.Through her writing, Emu celebrates the beauty of friendship and the power of compassion, hoping to inspire young readers to see the world with open hearts and to carry these values with them wherever life leads.
