Kevin Henkes is the author and illustrator of beloved children’s books for kids of all ages. The distinct and well-known illustration style of his "Mouse" series is exemplified by his most popular picture book, Chrysanthemum, which has sold more than a million copies and was named Notable Book for Children by the American Library Association. His 2015 picture book Waiting was named both a Caldecott Honor and Geisel Honor book. Henkes lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife and two children.
