Mary Daheim (1937) is an American author of romance and mystery novels. She began her writing career as a journalist in her native Washington State. Daheim wrote her first book in 1983 Loves Pirate, a historical romance. After writing several more "bodice rippers" in 1991 she wrote her first mystery book Just Desserts beginning her popular Bed and Breakfast series which she continues to write to this day.
