Ilay Papangon'ny Nofy (The Kite of Dreams)
A kite trip that will take us around the world to meet the hopes and dreams of children around the world, from Bolivia to Nepal.

If something is capable of bringing the children of the world together, that is the ability to dream and imagine a better world. Every single one of us has with them a kite of dreams, a flying kite sheltering our hopes and dreams. Through this kite trip, we will meet Mohesiwä, a boy who lives in the jungle, Amunet, who can’t stop but smiling when imagining a better future, Anja and his brother Tuvo, who rummage through the garbage to find something of value…

The Kite of Dreams is an invitation to discover the different cultures of the world and to dream of a better world. A world with unpolluted air, where every child has access to education, a world with clean and uncontaminated waters, where biodiversity is preserved and forests are conserved. And more importantly, a world in which each child can be happy and reach out to those who need it.

About the Author

Pilar López Avila is from Cáceres, Spain, and is a teacher of biology for the last twelve years. She is also the mother of three children.

The award winning author Paula Merlán was born a Sunday morning in Vigo (Pontevedra) in Spain. After graduating in Law, she pursued her vocation as an educator, graduating as a teacher years later. The lessons at university promoting reading, encouraged her to start writing stories, and in 2012 she published her first picture book. She won the Children's Books Without Borders Contest by Otxarkoaga with her ¿Conoces la magia de Marit?, a book published in Braille in collaboration with ONCE (Spanish NGO for blind people). She also obtained a Special Mention in the Casila Ordólez Children's Books Contest for her Virtuoso Melodías. She currently teaches first grade, and has published ten books, some of them translated into many languages.

Words and illustrations have always been part of award winning Concha Pasamar's life. For a few years, illustration has been added to her dedication to teaching and research of the Spanish language, which sometimes also takes her along the path of writing.
