Sometimes we need to hear a calm voice. Nighttime noises and daytime surprises can cause anytime tears and fears. We need a word of comfort. Sometimes, though, God seems far away, even inaccessible, because He is "transcendent". God is "beyond" all that exists. Yet the Bible tells us He is always close at hand, a powerful friend. He is "immanent", an ever present help in times of trouble.

Using gentle poetry, Scripture paraphrases and vibrant illustrations, "BYEN LWEN" is a comforting read, exploring this near-but-far aspect of God. Readers and listeners old and young will be reminded that God delights in His people. He protects us with His power. He comforts us with His presence.
