As a practical mystic, Ghazali's aim was to make man better by leading him from merely rational acquiescence in the stereotype creed of Islam to a real knowledge of God. The first four chapters of his Kimiya-i-Sa'adaat are a commentary on the famous verse in the Hadith: "He who knows himself knows God."
This little volume contains eight sections of the Kimiya-i-Sa'adaat.
