About the Author

Shibley Telhami is the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland and nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. Committed to the pursuit of world peace, he served as board member of the U.S. Institute of Peace from 2000 to 2002.

Aaron David Miller, author of The Much Too Promised Land: America’s Search for Arab-Israeli Peace, is currently a public policy scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars.

Jehan Sedat is a senior fellow at the University of Maryland’s Center for International Development and Conflict Management and widow of late Egyptian president Anwar Sadat.
