About the Author

Christy Mahanay-Castro has been working in the public school system for 25 years in a variety of positions including Director of Special Services, Special Education Teacher, General Education Teacher and Building Principal. She received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership at the University of Idaho in 2006.
