In this performance video, the Dave Holland Quintet: Vortex, the celebrated bassist appears with his band in a live demonstration of their unique jazz virtuosity. Holland is backed by veteran trumpeter Kenny Wheeler, with Steve Coleman on alto sax and Robin Eubanks on trombone, and drummer Marvin "Smitty" Smith of The Tonight Show. The show features simultaneous solos, the quintet's creative way with a melody line, and includes the songs "Vortex," "Homecoming," and "Wiguts Waits for Watts."
