This set contains a rarity: three first-season I Love Lucy episodes ("The Ballet," "The Benefit" and "Breaking the Lease") that were originally edited together into feature length form with introductory and connecting scenes; Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's production company, Desilu, originally planned to release the film to theaters but avoided this gambit lest the release interfere with that of the 1954 Ball-Arnaz MGM comedy The Long, Long Trailer. The set at hand contains both that feature and a series of other rarities including I Love Lucy's first commercial, highlights from a Lucy-Desi appearance on The Ed Wynn Show, the only colorized I Love Lucy episode ever made, highlights from I Love Lucy's reception of various honors at the Sixth Annual Emmy Award and more.
