This second volume focuses on the nature of the relationship between the individual human soul and its measure of divinity. Are we sons and daughters of god, striving to free ourselves from stupidity and sin? Can we be redeemed from this fallen world into a state of blessedness? Religions would insist that we can but only if we give ourselves over to the moral imperatives handed down by their prophets and messiahs as interpreted by the priestly castes. That the individual can find his/her own way back to the divine state of oneness with all creation without gently dogmatic guidance is anathema to these organisations.
The esoteric teachings making their way through the underground streams necessary in the days of religious repression originate in the mystery schools of Ancient Greece and Egypt, surfacing from time to time in brotherhoods like the Rosicrucians and Masons and the paths known as Magick and Wicca.
