Overview

Having Our Say, Our Way is a whimsical look at the interactions of two dogs living together in the home of their humans. Ted E Bear, a ten-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, has had the luxury of being an only dog since his buddies, Buster and Miss Velvet, have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He has gotten used to being an only dog with all the perks that come with that. Suddenly, without his knowledge or consent, his Mommy and Daddy arrive home one day, with a new pal for him. This new pal is a one-pound, nine week old Maltese, Miss Velvet Too. One can only imagine how distasteful this is for Ted E Bear. Each dog tells the side of the story from their own perspective, which takes the reader through some of their adventures. They even showcase their holiday costumes and other wardrobe fashions through beautiful color photos. But above all, this story tells of acceptance, love and loss experienced by the entire family. Anyone who has loved a pet, be it a dog, cat, hamster, bird, etc. will be able to relate to the sentiments in this beautifully told story. The events are real. The author artistically interprets what she imagines the dogs feel as they live their lives together.
