About the Author

Ruth Rosenberg Naparsteck is City Historian and Records Manager in Rochester, New York. She holds a masters degree from the State University of New 'York in American History, a bachelor's degree in Sociology-Anthropology from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, an associate's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Point Park College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a certification in archaeology from Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel. She has written several books on Williamsport and Rochester history and loves to garden, bicycle, hike, and explore the rivers and canals. She has two daughters, America and Molly-Maguire.
