Most Requested Songs is a rip-off collection featuring Benny Mardones' one hit, the number one adult contemporary single "Into the Night." However, its presented in its re-recorded 1989 version, which is only the first indication that this collection is not what it seems. Most Requested Songs is filled with re-recordings and newly recorded numbers, including a remake of Roy Orbison's "Running Scared" and "It's All in the Game." Although Mardones never had anything approaching a gritty sound -- he was strictly a soft rock and adult contemporary singer -- all of these recordings are too slick and synthesized to make any impact.
