About the Author

Cesario Picca (1972) born and bred in Salento (South Italy), lives in Bologna. For 25 years he worked as a crime and judicial reporter, now he devotes his time to his thrillers. He has already published (2005), the juridical essay Ungagged - the developing concept of freedom of the press.

His love for thrillers blossomed with Murder at the Tremiti Isles in which the main character is the reporter from Salento, Rosario (Saru) Santacroce involved in a femicide. But you can read many other intrigues and adventures like Gioco mortale - delitto nel mondo della trasgressione where you can find Saru with the same likeable verve and curiosity, Il dio danzante - delitto nel Salento, the esoteric and masonic thriller L'intrigo - guanti puri e senza macchia and Broken Lives where Saru santacroce follows the investigations of the Scotland Yard detective Sonny D'Amato to arrest a dangerous serial killer. Criminal Minds TV series lovers can not fail to read it.

In 2002 Picca was awarded the Piero Passetti prize for "chronicler of the year". He is a speaker or moderator at numerous conferences and participates in many radio and television broadcasts.
