This book is a global review of obstetrics and gynecology. It should be used as an adjunct to the textbooks available in this specialty. This book is in a new form and more information has been added. The old Oakie Notes were at one time available as a loosely bound product. The book is intended as a review of basic information in obstetrics and gynecology. The preface has been validated with its content. The information has been compiled by the various authors at the University of Oklahoma. The goals have been met. The book has been written for the second, third, and fourth year medical student. The obvious targeted audience is that concerning obstetrics and gynecology. The authors are recognized authorities. This book is appropriately illustrated. The references are complete, and the overall appearance of this book is without frills. The table of contents is all inclusive of the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology. The unique feature is the outline approach with inserted medical references. The book would be valuable for students preparing for board exams as a review of already "at hand" knowledge. Bookstores should purchase copies. This version replaces the loosely bound version and has been updated with respect to content and references.
