Life was good for Jedidiah Evans and his friend Marco Jones; they were up and coming senatorial aids working for two of the most influential Senators in the Ustastian government and they had just helped in the successful campaign to re-elect Leader Omar Rashad. Their lives, their futures and their careers were progressing into everything they would have ever imagined; at least until the night of Omar Rashad's celebration of retaining his position of Sovereign Leader of Ustastia.
Then Jedidiah encountered the ravishingly beautiful and mysterious Basha Romain who not only captivated his heart but suggested Jedidiah was heading down a path he was not even aware of. That night the nightmare came that would play out over the next few days, exposing Leader Rashad to be something more than Jed and Marco could have ever imagined. They would face the threat of deadly attacks, a corrupt government and Jedidiah would be challenged by the Leader of a secret group called the Remnant with a quest to find the lost son of the brutally murdered Senator Daniel Jansen and his wife some twenty years prior.
