The Poltergeist of Pendleton Grange: The Chronicles of Vernham Vale Volume 2
Six years have passed since the Gifford family arrived at Gifford Hall. After all the renovations, all seems to be going well. If only they could get their distant cousin, Reginald Beeston, to part with Sir Francis Gifford's sea-chest, then George and Winifred could finally go home, and Eliza would stop twitching every time their names were mentioned.
Sir Henry receives a letter from Beeston's solicitor, informing him of his cousin's death. Even better, he has left Sir Henry the sea chest in his will... along with the guardianship of his five children.
Sir Henry sends Lee and Annika to collect the children and bring them back to Gifford Hall. It will prove to be a task that will try Lee's mettle to the utmost. How fortunate for him, then, that the children have a lovely cousin who performs the duties of a general factotum.
Georgiana makes the journey bearable but nothing ever runs smoothly and Beeston's duplicity, coupled with an unlooked for passenger, all have to be dealt with before the path of true love can run its course.

About the Author

About the Author: Silby Grant is a mother of four children, married to her first love.

She is a voracious reader and writer. She lives in the North of England, surrounded by sources of inspiration and motivation for her historical novels in the shape of castles, stately homes and moody moorlands.

Silby has been writing stories from the moment she could hold a pencil. Before that she would make them up in her head.

At the moment she is writing an historical/paranormal/romance series called, The Chronicles of Vernham Vale. The stories are set in the opening years of the nineteenth century and centre around the Gifford family and their friends.

Silby would like to thank her English teacher, Mr. Shakespeare, for encouraging her in her writing and giving her the confidence to believe she could become a writer. She would also like to thank her history teacher, Mr. Hutchinson, for instilling in her an abiding love for history, especially British history.

Besides writing, Silby runs several craft classes including card-making, quilting and crafting. She is also very interested in genealogy and has gone back to the 16th and 17th centuries on many lines.
