About the Author

Chinese artist Wang Du has been considered a master of manipulating images related to the mass media. He states that the reality of the media has, in a way, surpassed reality, has eclipsed the truth. Wang Du was born in the Hubei province in 1956 and lives and works in Paris. Dr Veit Görner, born in Munich in 1953, has been director of the kestnergesellschaft in Hannover since 2003. He lives in Hannover and Stuttgart.Görner, has organised extensive solo exhibitions - often for the first time in Germany - with the following internationally renowned artists, among others:Gary Hume, Cindy Sherman, Miquel Barceló, Fischli & Weiss, Anton Corbijn, Candida Höfer. David Rosenberg is an author and exhibition curator.
