One late evening during a summer storm in the mid eighties my brother, my best friends Rick and Bryan; we were all watching "Scary Movies" in the basement. The third and final movie of the night started around midnight. Thunder barreled down on us from the Heavens above, lighting flooded the room through the sunken windows, pipes rattled, the boiler rumbled and darkness eventually devoured us. Maybe it was the company I kept, the atmosphere or perhaps our youthful age but that movie gave us all bad dreams for days. Nightmare on Elm Street from that point in time became my number one favorite movie. I enjoy the classics Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Psycho, Night of The Living Dead, Friday The Thirteenth, Hell Raiser, Phantasm, Omen and Halloween namely Mr. Zombies version 'ouch', I said it. My all around number one make-up/costume, script, actors The Walking Dead hands down in my humble opinion is the best television shows/movies I've ever seen!

So what was my greatest influence for delving into the world of horror, drugs, alcohol, my love for gore my insane fiancé or being born a middle child? Well I do like my Jack Daniels, not a drug user, my fiancé Michelle encouraged me to keep writing, however I truly believe this middle child thing has some validity to it. But in all honesty When It Reigns was a reoccurring nightmare that finally stopped haunting me when I began writing it down. So now I'm praying that this nightmare may one day become a dream come true.
