Overview

Memphis socialite Nell Marchand never meant to become a psychic. Not a real one, anyway. And if she has to be cursed with the true sight, she wishes the dadgum thing would at least perform on command.
When a family friend disappears from a magician's mummy case onstage and turns up dead, Nell sets out to unmask the killer. Medium Joseph Calendar warns her that she's putting her own life in peril, but she can't turn her back on the people counting on her. Soon, Nell finds herself knee-deep in murder, miracles, that old-time religion, and an ancient rivalry or two.

Editorial Reviews

USA Today Happy Ever After blog - Kathy Altman
“Sevier writes with a subtle, wicked humor and a sophisticated vibrancy that ushers the reader right into Depression-era Memphis.... Rich in Southern ambiance, evoking an aura of menace, a tongue-in-cheek humor and a tenderness all at the same time, this second book in the Psychic Socialite series has me...hoping it won’t take Sevier long to conjure up the third."

I couldn't put this book down! When I read the first book in this series, FORTUNE'S FOOL, I was transported. I couldn't wait for A BILLY SUNDAY KIND OF LOVE. It was even better!  I couldn't put it down. And the ending? Wow. I can't wait to see what's next!
