A Boat That Can Carry Two
Poetry. Bilingual Edition. Translated from English into Italian by Ambra Meda. "A BOAT THAT CAN CARRY TWO is both an elegy and an affirmation of life. Haunted by memories of a lost sister, reprieved by the reality of a living daughter, Cariello's lyric voice travels between times and continents, along with an apple tree, an old boat, a street in New Jersey, and a street in China. It is a book that pauses, and then moves forward, with grace."—Alicia Ostriker
